In a world full of shmeng there must be something good to talk about.
Something that we are all happy about. lafe isn't a complete suck-fest,
right?
that's what this is for...i think if we all used this thread to list (or
whatever) all the things in our lives we're all thankful for. (am i getting
a little too mushy here??)
i guess as a show of good faith i should start.
well i'm happy that my car runs and gets me where i'm going.
i'm glad that soon enough i'll be out on my own for a while.
i guess that's enough from me for now.

I am a very happy girl these days.
I am about to graduate.
I have my airline tickets to go to the shmeng party and to move.
I get to be with a very yummy, very special person who is totally loved by
me and whom I am loved by.
I quit my job today and I only have one more week to work (yes, I know
being poor isn't a good thing, but getting out of this job so I can move
is, and I will be making better money somewhere else).
It is national masturbation month, I think I will celebrate.
Some of the reasons I am happy.

I'm happy about graduating, as well.
I'm also very happy about defeating the diet disease that was in my head
(won the battle, but not the war...the impact of a severe diet sticks to
you like anorexia) before it sent my blood sugar to the Hells and stuck me
in a coma. On top of it all, I'm happy about worrying about my weight less
and how I tend to walk practically everywhere I go...plus walk an hour or
two in the mornings.
I'm moving in a month. I can finally get away from the unwanted energies
in this household and this area. I can finally live in a place with much
more isolation.
I'm happy about not feeling so helpless anymore...now I feel a bit of a
sense of control.

I'm glad to be graduating too. It's all over in 2 weeks. About stinkin'
time!
I'm glad that I'll be moving out in a couple months.
I'm glad that I'll finally be able to get a job.
I'm glad that I have food on the table and a warm bed to sleep in.
I'm glad that the nosiy neighbors across the street are moving out.

i am glad that....
i have friends, i am glad that i have people in my life, who make me so
happy and make me feel so alive. i am glad that i have been bleesed with
them. im glad i have someone to love and ppl who love me back.

When I first saw the title of this forum, I assumed it was a reference to
one of my two favorite webcomics, http://www.somethingpositive.net.
In keeping with what the forum is actually about, I suppose I am happy that
I survived my first year of law school hell (though I am not quite out of
the woods yet...I still have a lot of work to do in the next week or so).
I am happy that a week from tomorrow, I will be winging my way to London
for the summer. We'll see how I do with the anti-American sentiment I've
heard is even more rampant in Europe than normal...though I've passed
myself off as German before when I felt threatened. And I might get to see
one of the people on my "Cool People I'll Probably Never See Again" list.

Alright...I'm game.
I'm glad that I graduated...wait, no...strike that, replace graduated with
"dropped out and joined the military then went nucking futz." or something
to that effect.
I'm glad I have an Xbox.
I'm glad I have a tolerant Girlfriend.
I'm glad the circle K is open twenty four hours a day cuz damn, sometimes I
need smokes at like ass'crack o' dawn and stuff.
I'm glad that it isn't illegal to leave the US right now.

I am happy today because I kissed a girl in my class I have been wanting to
kiss her for a long time. I asked her and she let me. Then she cried
because she is going to miss me.
I also had my book returned to me so now I don't have to pay 40 dollars for
an Economics book which means I don't have to freak so much about having to
draw out money for the shmeng party.
I am also happy because I get to meet Cashmere next Monday. ____________________

I'm happy that I managed to get some work done today
I'm happy that I have some good friends
I'm happy that I finally decided to change my major
I'm happy that I had a good meal today
I'm happy that I seem to slowly be digging myself out of the rut I've been
in the past couple weeks. Slowly.

Im happy that the sun comes up, the trees grow, the fish swim, and the
planet turns.
Im happy that there is air to breathe and water to drink and foods to
eat.
I am happy that i have a roof over my head (and that i LIKE that roof) and
a warm bed.
I am happy that the people i know also have all these things and soooo many
more.
I am less happy about how hard it is to quit smoking, how boring art
history 101 is, and the amount of laundry two people can generate in a
week. ____________________

I'm happy that I can go to the beach at night and be totally alone, to just
sit, think and look at the stars.
I'm also happy that I can go to the same beach, at the same time, with a
few friends, and we can light a fire, smoke a few joints and chill out
together. ____________________

I am happy that my fucking thesis is FINISHED, approved by the graduate
school, and that it represents the last requirement I needed to fill to
receive my MFA.
I am happy that in 10 days, I will be finished with grad school
completely.
I am looking forward to going back to being my cool, non-constantly
stressed-out self.
I am looking forward to weeks of post-graduation recovery nookie. ____________________
