This is an odd one which I had never heard anything about before. Of how
Bush, before he campaigned for the presidancy was "involved" in Texas
several funeral homes were digging up graves, and throwing them in the
woods to bury other people in the graves Their families had paid for...
Creepy.

Not much of a scandal compared to the WMD, but it's still pretty sleazy.
And rather gross to read about as well. ____________________ Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life. |

Where've I heard that before? Seriously - is it something you've said
before, or a quote? I have a huge sense of deja vu. ____________________ Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life. |

While the Puritan foundations still have a great affect on this society
(and definitely back then), our founding fathers were among prostitutes and
thieves still.
Kerry has a lot of skeletons in his closet too, but I guess it can be said
for most of the guys out there. It's painful to pick the lesser of the two
evils, for lack of better words, but it seems that its the only thing that
makes a difference in the voting world nowadays. |

Whether this is an addition or a take-back, whoever has the most money
seems to do it too...since they can afford advertising and
propaganda......that and distract people with a celebrity's breast to keep
their mind off the politics, adding more ignorance to the masses. |

Just out of curiosity, what do you think would happen if no one voted in
this election. I mean absolutely no one, poll booths empty, not a single
ballot cast. I suppose the electoral college would step in and do their
job and vote, but do you think they might get the message and realize that
Americans are sick of voting for a scumbag just because he's not as bad as
the other scumbag?
Not that it would ever happen, but just something I've been thinking about
lately. ____________________ "You can tell by the scars on my arms and the cracks in my hips and the

If that were to happen, the politicians would probably just shrug and walk
into their elected office.

I'm of legal age to vote now, but haven't done so yet. I have no idea who
I'll be voting for when the time comes. I'll have to look into it, but if
it comes down to voting for one sleaze just cause he's not as bad as the
other scumbags... well, I think there's still the Monster Raving Loony
Party here. My vote would be wasted on the scumbags anyway, so why not have
fun with it? ____________________ Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life. |

I can finally vote too...and I realize that my age group doesn't vote as
much as we should.....and that politicians go after the older age groups
votes....not us....The issues that we should care about like social
security(which when we retire will be fairly dried up)aren't being talked
about as much....instead I heard more about Janet Jacksons Boob(yes I
capitalized Boob.....I beleive it's sentient.) The only way we can make a
dent in the system is by becoming more involved in
politics.....unfortunately politics is boring. Then again people are living
longer and the older ager groups are the majority so we will probably never
get our issues to even cross their lips. But I'm still gonna vote. ____________________ "It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will

I just thought that the whole bit about the graves was a bit funny,,, and
sick,,, but funny. And as for sleezy polititions... the honest ones
wouldn't get elected for the pure fact of, when you have someone who will
slit someones throat to get elected and you have someone who is honest and
trys to be up front. the underhanded one will win purly by the case that
they can threaten the honest candidate's family and come out ahead....
sucks,,, yes,
but it all sucks.
I have no clue as to who to vote for, I may just vote Nader. :shrugs:

actually there are more under 40's than there are over 40's. one of the
problems is that there are more under 40's that felonies and can never
vote. so altho we could take 'em by numbers, we cant because they changed
the laws so that we cant vote when we get caught for the same things they
got caught for when they were kids.
i can and do vote, only because i never got a felony charge for protesting.
lots of poeple have.
so yes vote. it wont make a difference but vote so you can see that you
have no voice, that you dont actually have a say in federal elections, vote
so you can see that you do in local elections.
vote becaise it is your duty. lots of people died so that you could.
jsut dont expect your vote to matter by itself. ____________________ Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires

The Electoral College was needed in the older times when technology was not
so great, but it's an outdated system now. I'd not mind seeing it go so
that the popular vote can count. What raises an eyebrow with it is that I
thought the Electorals represented the population's vote...oh well, guess
not.
