Hey to go with the union thing. Do u really think that the benifits are
worth it for the companys. I mean do u think that the productivity of the
workers will increase just because they have free medical. |

Well, it might cause dem workers to end their strike... 'cause if dey don't
get medical, then da boss-man don't get workers.

I think that they should get the medical because they will go back to work.
You don't get a product made, which means nobody can buy it, unless you
have someone to make the product. ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I don't

with medical benefits your employees are more likely to go to the doctor so
they are more likly to get better faster, spread the disease (if that is
why they went to the doctor) to fewer people, and keep working for you
longer. Since there is no other access to medical aid other than going
totally broke (no working for anyone) people "need" medical insurance.
Now would it be an incentive if there was a socialized health care system
in the US? maybe not, but it might still from the status or something. ____________________ Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires

Working conditions should be decent. Therefore, some medical care should
be given. There is a line to be crossed, though. You see, some unions out
there go too far in trying to get benefits and higher wages. In fact, I
think some of the businesses leaving the States is partly due to people
putting so much pressure on businessmen. Think about it: if you're a
business man, do you like people pushing you to pay more, more, and more?
How are you going to satisfy customers if you end up spending less money on
production and more on workers? Sure workers should be protected from
people taking advantage of them, but what prevents unions from taking
advantage of them?
I heard there's laws against unions taking advantage of workers, but it's
still out there. I think America isn't business-friendly enough. At the
same time, though, I think corporate loopholes are abused quite often. All
that stuff needs to stop...especially with our economy at risk.
Anyway, I'll stop the ranting...

I -inversely- agree with you Anya...
I believe that to keep the US from exporting jobs overseas, we got to get
those people overseas unionized. Once they get a decent wage and decent
working conditions, then it'll all even out and it'll be cheaper to keep
your factories in the US.
But since there's so much pseudo-slave labor outside of the reach of the
US's labor laws, then unscrupulous business men take advantage of that
because its cheaper. And if one guy does it, the rest of them in the
industry have to in order to stay comptetitive.
Edit: And rant all you want, Anya... Its good to have someone to disagree
with me.
