Shameless excuse of a forum just to talk about your Halloween costume and
plans. Ready.....go!
I'm going as le fee verte, partially inspired by all the absinthe talk here
and the gentle prodding of my husband, who I suspect just wants to see me
with pointy ears.
We're having a party, let's hope the house gets a little trashed, but not
too trashed. Same goes for the occupants.

I'm going to be a druidic priestess. I won't be going out for candy, but
I'll be staying home and preparing pumpkin bread, cinammon cakes, and
laying out oatmeal cookies and sparkling grape drinks.

i'm dressing up as Wednesday Addams. it's not that big of a leap clothing
wise for me, except that i never wear skirts/dresses. i've got it all put
together, i look just like her. i even went to the $5 shop, and bought me
one of those creepy porciline dolls(they scare me) and it looks just like
Marie Antoinette(Wednesday's doll). i love halloween. unfortunantly i
think i might have to skip trick or treating. i have too much to do. i'm
either going to a performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, or i'm
going to the Freaker's Ball. the only thing that sucks is i won't be sure
who is dreessed up, and who dresses that way on a regular basis. oh well

Post-concert report: THAT WAS FUCKIN AWESOME!!!
Two nobody bands warmed the crowd up, I didn't really like them, kinda
bland.
Then Vendetta Red came on (all in drag! :p) and they were pretty badass.
Then finally, the Ataris. They played a long time, which is pretty cool.
Post show, I am tired, hot, sweaty, my back is sore, and a few of my
ribs... Time for some ice cream...

we dressed up as "people who were nto at work" leather pants on shade and a
long velvet dress for me. no big change there from what we wear when we
arent at work, but we got some great ideas for next year since the French
Quarter was overflowing with people who took the time to do really wild
costumes.

For Halloween I dressed as a yummy girl. *giggle* At least that is what I
was told I was. I wore a long black skirt with a high split in the back,
tall black boots, black sleeveless tight top with v neck and ruffled
collar, and my black bat wings I bought at the Renaissance Festival last
year. I used some baby powder and make up to make my face white, and dark
lipstick. My eyes were dark with eyeliner. I also wore black gloves. We
went to my friend's dorm where we picked up her boyfriend who was dressed
as The Terminator. My friend was dressed as Pat Benetar. We also pulled
along Xander and Kyle, who weren't dressed up, and Kelly who was dressed as
a fairy. Carrie and Phil showed up, Carrie dressed as a naughty Catholic
school girl, and Phil not dressed up. We all piled into the cars, went to
Burger King (I bought some fries), then went to the Rocky Horror Picture
Show. Oddly they played it at 8 o'clock instead of midnight. I was a RHPS
virgin, and so was Jackie, so we Jason(forgot to mention him) placed a V
upon our foreheads. After the show we went to Sacred Grounds and had
coffee. My friend Jackie had helped decorate, and she wanted to see how it
had all turned out. Plus we all love coffee, and it being a coffee shop,
we just had to go. It is also our local gay coffee shop. No flirts from
any chicks though sadly, oh well. But it was a great nite. The winner of
their costume contest for the Queen of the Damned award went to a guy
dressed as Cher, and the most original costume award went to a lesbian
couple dressed as Van Goh and Starry Night(the girl was covered in blue
paint and yellow spiral stars). All in all, one my best Halloweens yet!

I'm trying to go as a french maid. I have a pvc french maid outfit, but I
don't have an apron and I have no idea what shoes to wear. Does anyone
know where I can get an apron to go with it? Also, any ideas on sexy, yet
comfortable shoes that don't cost a bundle?
I also have from another french maid outfit a little frilly headband, lacey
things for my wrists, and black bloomers with a strip of lace on the ass.

My boyfriend's work is trying to make them all dress up at work, so he's
going as an 80s hair-band rocker. My two best friends will probably go as
medieval damesals. I don't remember what I did for Halloween last year. I
suspect I worked, then went out and got trashed, but I can't remember what
I dressed up as. I think I might be too old for trick or treating this
year, but one of my friends was talking about having a Samhain shindig out
at her parents' place in the country, so that should be fun. I don't have
to work this year, so I'm definitely dressing up. Maybe I'll go as punky
groupie to match my 80's rockstar.

Every year I try and go as Hannibal Lecter, the mask, the straight jacket
and the trolley. All you need is someone to feed you drinks through a
straw.
