I'm curious..what is everyone else voting for on the 2004 elections? I'm
curious for your reasons and if you can, am requesting links to websites
that have reliable information on the Presidental candidates. I want to
research my options. I've found one dedicated to Clark and one to Bush,
but I really want some more information and possibly ones that have the
pro's and con's of the candidates.
Thank you.
Blessings,
Anya

so far i am not impressed by most of the democratic candidates. most of
them voted in favor of giving the president the authority to deal w/
saddam.now they make stands proclaiming bush was wrong for going to war but
they had a hand in giving that authority to him. among the democrats ,
howard dean was the only one who voted against it and clark wasn't even
involved in the vote since this is his first political campaign. right
now i think clark will be the best possible candidate for president, he has
an extensive military background unlike bush and i think out of all the
democratic candidates that he may be much more experience as far as
military planning goes and hopefully he will have the wisdom to clean up
bush's mess and bring our troops home.
as far as bush is concerned i believe his intentions were good but he
really didn't think of life after the initial attacks on iraq. i believe
bush was sincere in his efforts but his lack of knowledge is putting many
of our loved ones in harms way everyday, not to mention the money it is
costing the us to maintain our military forces in the middle east. now more
troops are being sent to the middle east, like my husband, this is going to
be his second time over there. something is really wrong with this picture.

I'm aiming for Clark, but as I said, I still need to do some research on my
options.
Many say that George Bush was just trying to "please his daddy" (mainly
from interpretations of one of his speeches), but eh. I think he did mean
for good, but did not put out and was terribly misinformed. As far as
Clark goes, from what I can tell, he has a lot of military background and
is more determined to go after terrorists than Bush is. Again, I'm still
researching to see if there's anything else with the candidates.
I'm a moderate, but nowadays, it doesn't seem to matter which party people
aim for since all of the politicians have their own agendas. |

I have no idea who I am going to vote for. I have to look long and hard at
it because the President effects me a little differently than it effects
others. Case in point Iraq. ____________________ Michael Schultz

Cant we just vote for both Bettie and Squid. Think about it, if those two
joined forces... ____________________ co-worker: "Your gay!?"

I'm going to vote for Dean, I think... I used to like him, but now he's
getting on my nerves (filling my inbox with requests for contributions, for
one...). But he's the best compromise between left-wing ideology and public
support that I know of, so...
Yeah, I don't think we'll ever get anybody worth voting for until Bettie
and Squid run... ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |

At this point I'm saying Clark, but there's a whole year for a candidate to
possibly sway me in their direction.
However, if Squid or Bettie are running, then they've definitely got my
vote. ____________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've never

Are you insulting Bettie's intelligence? I think she should be offended,
though you are right about the looks thing. She so has that! ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I don't

Hey, I'd never want to be accused of insulting bettie in anway, but I mean,
it's squido, and really, he's an unstoppable force from the deep blue sea.
I mean, you could have more one liners in a Squid campaign than Arnold S.
ever thought of, I mean, "I'll be back" sure "But I've got eight tentacles"
don't you love the way that rolls of your tongue.
Squido for president.....
(and as a side note, I think Mono is on to something with Dennis K (sorry I
can't spell last names today and I'm just not going to embaress myself any
more than I need to when I'm this hungover)). ____________________ It's like kegel exercises for your throat.~Monolycus |

I wasn't insulting Bettie, MRD. Yor probably too young too remember but I
was quoting a song:
I've got the brains
Yoo've got the looks
Let's make lots of money
It was supposed to be an implication that politicians are whores. ____________________

I think the Birthday Party has some good platforms and some outstanding
canidates. But then i dont take politics very seriously when practiced by
"popular" vote. ____________________ Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires

I just want to vote when I turn 18 so that I know that I've done something
on my part. Lesser and lesser people are voting, which in a sense, is
taking away our rights for it's contributing to giving the government more
power on what goes on.

Callei, I'm going to look into, infiltrate, and command the Birthday Party.
Tea and cakes for everyone, tho the cake is vegan, but the tea has a
little extra sumpthin sumpthin.
And MRD, I knew the song he was talkin about, so don't worry He just left out
the most obvious set of lyrics.
You've got the brawn
I've got the brains
