The only actions of the RIAA I approve of are their political fights
against censorship. That’s it, their fight against filesharing is a lost
cause and frankly, suing a 12 year old is just...I don’t even have the
words to describe my chagrin.
The RIAA is sweating because they're getting the profits from cds sold. How
much money do they get from tours? From what I know, the artists makes the
majority of his/her profit from touring.
Oh and by the way, why the hell would people pay to download music when
they can download it for free? That's putting a band-aid on a broken
leg.
Here’s my opinion: The artist should decide if they want their files to be
downloaded for free or not.... - that’s not gonna happen though, not unless
the artist wants to sue each fan who downloads their music.
Filesharing forces the artist to be more creative with their music, it'll
hopefully cut down on the "me-too" bands/artists put out as cash-cows...you
know what I'm talking about.
