Will hopefully embark on a voyage to San Fransisco and NYC in
August/September - have found plenty on the net, but personal suggestions
would of course be greatly appreciated.
Even more so would getting together for a beer - or ten!
Will also go to the Burning Man with Squiddo, if all goes well!
CGB, it's unlikely I'll make it down to your end, how about you taking a
little trip...??!!
Or anyone else up for a mini-Shmeng-convention in the mentioned areas?

When I drove through SF, I just stood on fisherman's wharf and watched the
alcatraz ferry cross the sea, carrying innocent tourists to their DOOM! I'm
no idiot...

Alcatraz is haunted. I wonder if they have a "ghosts of Alcatraz" tour.
It all really depends on what you wanna see.
In SF:
I lived there for five years so FIsherman's Wharf and Alcatraz and Haight
and Ashbury were places I typically liked to avoid. I do recommend Golden
Gate Park or going to the twin peaks.
I liked China town a lot for window shopping and fun stuff to see, I liked
the Mission for really cheap Mexican food. The avenues have some great
little neighborhoods. I also liked the beach and the old baths.
In New Your there is a restaurant in China Town called the New Green Bo or
something like that, it is right across the street from old fashioned ice
cream, so if you ask around someone will know (might be on Christine?)
anyhoo, go there and have SHanghai SOUP DUMPLINGS!!! Truly amazing.
