If anything, it was all based on your character, which you brought on
yourself, not just this time, but from several instances past as dom kindly

Kid, I hate the fact that it had to go this far, but you HAVE to understand
that THIS is but a TASTE of what the real world has to offer you and your
attitude when and if you ever make it.
In all seriousness, negativity and grudges aside, for real here. Calm
bettie, all past bullshit wiped from my mind for a moment here, I promise.
Me and you, human to human. Set aside your already attained knowledge, and
what you think you know, and realise you have a long way to go. Hell, at
23 I know and realise that I still have a lot to learn in this life, that
my opinions are formed from experiences I've had, and what I've learned
from others. I know I"ve had some SERIOUS learning experiences in the past
year, ones I wish I'd never have had to learn on the evils of the world and
the people in it. 23 and still learning.
Hell, I think of how much I've changed and learned since I was 18 and it
blows my mind. I think of what I thought and what I thought I knew at
14...and jesus help me I don't even wanna go there. Then I hit the real
world. And I had the reality check of a lifetime. You will too someday,
and you'll know what I"m talking about. I don't think, in essence, that
you are stupid. You have a brain and you know how to use it. It's just
misdirected, seriously misdirected, but misdirected all the same. You'll
find it someday, on your own, but I hope for your sake you find it before
your attitude is your downfall. There are bigger assholes in the world
than me, kid, and I'll tell you one thing, they dont' have my patience.
I've gotten everything I have to say out of my system. If you have finally
wished this to be put away, then I'll comply, as I am finnished. I don't
have to like you, you don't have to like me. You can have your opinions,
and I'll have mine, and they'll probably clash again I can bet on it. But
perhaps you'll realise some very valuable things....and realise that things
you think you know are not always as they seem.
On a parting note, I wish you the best luck...because especially nowadays,
you'll need every bit of it.

The whole idea that women women have the same physical capacities as men is
biologically unsound. As is shown by the fact that a female athlete,
pushing her body to it's limit of speed and strength, is still no match for
the male athlete who does the same. Your arrogant comments that all women
have to do is "try harder" is complete bullshit.
For a long time, we women were keeping to the debate. We did not descend
into insults. In fact, it was you, apparently frustrated with your failure
to raise the proper stink, who turned up the heat. You deliberately
repeated yourself in more and more extreme and insulting ways until you got
the reaction you wanted. You fed the flames for a while. Then apparently
you got burned, because you started whining. Well, we're not about to feel
sorry for you. Don't play with fire. When you try to cause trouble, you
just might get it.
We have not attacked your sexuality. We have nothing against homosexuals.
Fuck whoever you want. It's no concern of ours.
We have not attacked your gender. We have nothing against men. Man or
woman, we judge you on your actions, not your gender.
If you display an abnormal amount of stupidity, we are justified in
attacking your mind. If you don't want to be called a moron, don't act
like one.
As for your art, no one attacked that, either. We merely pointed out that,
for someone moaning on about how women are supposedly obsessed with make-up
and their appearances, you wear an awful lot of make-up. No one even
touched on whether that particular picture was good art or not.
And as for your body, if you are going to tell us that we should all jack
ourselves up, it's pretty ironic that you yourself are fairly flabby. If
you are going to tell others that all they need to do is work their butts
off, they should say that from the gym, the track, at least the exercise
bike. Not from their habitual relaxed and comfortable position sitting
down.
I know full well you weren't "being literal" about all your insults - now.
Now that you so kindly have told us that you were just playing a BIIIIIG
game with our reaction patterns. Personally, I don't care. I don't care
what your thoughts and motives are behind the things you said. No, that's
not entirely true. The fact is, it would have been better if you had
really believed the things you said. Being a straight-forward sexist pig
is bad enough, and deserves all the return insults it can get. But
deliberately playing the part, just to make people mad is stupidity of the
highest water, mixed with false superiority of the worst kind, and deserves
to be absolutely squashed off the face of the planet.
Yes, this whole issue is serious. It is very serious. It is a very
serious thing when people bend the facts to support their supposed notions
of sexual equality. In fact, women are physically weaker than men, but it
doesn't make us lesser beings. It was an error of the feminist movement to
declare that women are the same as men. It only damaged the value of
women. It only said that we have to be just like men to be valuable. We
don't. I am every bit as valuable as any man, whether I can lift as much
weight or run as quickly or throw as far. My value is not based on my
physical abilities alone. True, the average male is stronger than the
average female. But the average female has higher communication skills.
That has also been proven scientifically. Men and women have their own
particular strengths, that should be used together to the benefit of
humanity as a whole. And one should not be made to feel lesser because
they are not equipped to do another's task.
And if a particular female happens to be stronger than a particular male,
then for all means, go with it. Individuals have their own strengths and
weaknesses that may or may not follow the particular tendencies of their
own gender. The strengths of the individual are important and should be
used and not denied because it's not the norm or the expected.
Which is why I lift things for the older or weaker women in my workplace.
Which is why, even in the company of men, I do my share physically to the
best of my ability. But I will no longer injure myself for the sake of
trying to keep up. I've learned better than that.
These are all things that we all were saying, until you deliberately pulled
it down to the level of an insult fest. As far as I was concerned, this
was an intellectual debate, until you decided to set aside everything I
said, and slap the label of "lipgloss and pad-loving" on me. At that
point, I realized you were not interested in what I was saying, but in
labeling all women who do not subscribe to your personal faulty reasoning
as helpless and loving it.
You were rubbing salt in our wounds. It is true. Is it then to be
wondered why we then gave you a couple wounds and rubbed salt in them?
Turn and turn about is fair play. If you don't want it done to you, don't
do it to someone else.
And you are the one who brought literature into the discussion. If you are
going to compare yourself to the greatest satirists of history, we are
going to tell you how you greatly differ.
As for stopping harassing you, we were not the ones who began the
harassing. And you will perhaps notice that we weak and trembling females
are not the ones who sat down and began to cry once the heat got turned up.
We fought back. Kind of blows your stereotype of us to pieces.
OK. I'll take your last post for exactly what it says. You are officially
a whiny brat who can't take his own medicine, can't back up his own premise
with any facts, and likes stirring up trouble for the fun of it, but can't

As I am way too sick to go into my usual "Everybody play nice" speech,
here's the short and sweet of it.
Sticupus... you may have been trying to prove a point, but you went about
it badly. All you ended up doing was pissing everyone off. Your point could
have been made with a lot less offensiveness... and I agree, Commandment #6
has been broken. This was all so unnecessary. Besides, I don't think it
really belonged in this topic anyway, why wasn't a new one started for
this? It can be made better by a nice apology to the ladies.
Ladies, once he apologizes, let it go, k?

Yeah, I learned a whole lot. I learned that people's groundless and
irrational opinions are the only things that are sacrosanct and are worth
losing people's lives or liberty to keep. I learned that these same people
have no tolerance for opposing groundless and irrational opinions. I
learned that debates here have more to do with siding with whoever is the
loudest and most indignant than having anything approaching a reasonable
thought in your head. Most importantly, I learned that self-absorption
conquers all and there is no place for me in a Weltbild that narrow.
I should have learned that the ten minutes it takes me to type all of this
out is time that would have been more productively spent searching the net
for pictures of celebrity's heads pasted on to naked people's bodies, but
I'm not going to complain about that. I happen to enjoy reading by the
soothing glow of bridges burning behind me. Enjoy yourselves.

BlueLinn: Hitler was a propaganda MACHINE the likes of which the world may
never see again...yes joseph gobels was a major part of that, but Hitler
himself KNEW how to work a crowd in a serious way. If you wanna watch
something interesting, go rent "the empty mirror"...it's a sort of surreal
movie about hitler from a "fly on the wall" perspective dealing with his
growing insanity and later, desperation as the war turned on him. My
husband is a MASSIVE WWII enthusiast (well he doesn't LIKE the whole "war"
bit, but it's VERY interesting to him) and it's a GREAT film.

darlin you chose NOT to. I mean no disrespect, so whatever is REALLY
bothering you, set it aside for now and keep the level head you pride
yourself on. If I can do it, you can too.
You stated in your first response to alone that this was all it was ever
going to be (an exercise in stupidity), and would result in nothing but
more screaming....and it wasn't for the most part, not until recently, and
for a good goddamned reason I might add. I don't find that demanding
someone back up their words and offenses is a screaming match. Nobody
sides with who is "louder", or stic would by far win the pack of lozenges
and have people screaming WITH him. You do the same thing when you read
something you feel is ridiculous or offending....and yes you take it to the
same degree that was used in this instance. It doesn't make it right, but
it doesn't make it wrong either. You defend your opinions as doggedly as I
do, friend. I don't see what's wrong with it. And for the record, I pull
no personal punches until the first one is thrown...then I have every right
to turn myself loose. Turn about is fair play.
We've had our differences, but always ended up on fair if not GOOD terms.
I'd hate to see that ruined over a bicker that you had nothing to do with.
I really would.
If it's irritating to you, then remove the irritant. I hate to see you go,

I haven't been able to make myself understood and this seems to be another
instance of it. I wasn't threatening to go storming off never to be heard
from again, I was just going to withdraw. I have only been getting angrier
and angrier and I feel that everything I have said has fallen on deaf ears
so I was going to take a break.
Bettie, I appreciate your response, I really do, but I never claimed to be
level-headed. I have a great deal of rage and sorrow and they prevent me
from communicating very well sometimes. This has been an especially bad
time for me.
Dolo, I'm not going away right now. I'm just pulling back into my shell a
little bit. It means a lot to me that you said something though.

Wow...it looks like I missed out on the retracted comments, but I can get

For the record, I don't think I even recall the last time I wore lipgloss
