Alright so I know I say this all the time but I'm about to get the fuck out
of Dodge. And I know each time I go I end-up returning to MN but I really
think this time it's goodbye for good (and I realize I say that every time
as well). Minnesota is a hinderance on my psyche so I must say farewell
forever to Sodom and Gomorrah.
ANYWAY, destination: San Francisco. Here's where it sounds like a stupid
question: What's there to do there? I know, I know, there's a million
things to do there but gimme some examples (artsy stuff, clubs, bars,
coffee shops, general fun). I'm going to be hanging out with alot of
Burners so I won't get bored but if there's anything yoo think I need to
see, let mee know. I'll list some of my interests:
first the obvious: Electro/Industrial/EBM
Philosophy
Art
Ritual
Cigar Clubs (and recently, Turkish hukah lounges as well)
Pool (especially themed pool halls)
Martial Arts
Midnight Kungfu Theatre
Underground Cinema
Vegetarian Food
Wierdness
Drum Circles
Cemetaries
Yoga
Lego
and of course: Occultism
This last one will probably be the biggest problem because San Francisco is
the world capital of what I like to call the "Undertoe of the 93 Current."
So I'm looking for occultists and occult groups that aren't completely
fucked-up. My occult intersts are primarily Hermetic.
Oh and another thing: how much is a pack of Camel Wides going to run mee
in California? ____________________

Wish I could help ya there. Spent the last 2 years of my life in Okinawa
Japan and everything else before that in Texas... Maybe someday I'll make
it out to the west coast. I really would like to go to Seattle or
Portland...

Um...better buy a bunch of cancer sticks now and have them shipped to you.
They just raised the tax again, so now I think it's at 4.50 or more. Thank

Beyond that, have fun. If you were going to San Diego, I could help, but I
have personally never been to San Fran. But you shouldn't have any problems
finding what ever tickles your tentacles.

| Smokes aren't cheap, which is a major let-down, and California is
god-damned puritan about smoking. Everything else is pretty cool...Beuna
Vista Park by the bridge is a place of fond if unusual memories for me.
Parade days are the bombinist, weither it's Gay-Pride, S&M, Pagans or what
have you...it's all a blast. As for Occultism, for the most part it's
paltry little covens and circles of angsty teens trying to make themselves
sound important...but every so often you'll find substance, Chinatowns good
for eastern occultism and on the Haight Ashbury you might be able to find a
thread of Hermetics. I don't know too much about the place myself...but I
do know I live pretty damn close to it. ____________________

there?

Uh... go to Sea World? That's the only reason I've ever been in San Diego.
And, being a squid as you are, I'm sure you'd find something there to
do....
And, word to the wise, don't call San Francisco by the name 'Cisco. They
hate that, from what I hear.

Seaworld, eh? They don't have giant squid there, so I'm not all that
interested (certainly not at that price) but if they did I'd be goddamn
sure to liberate my brothers and sisters from the tyranny of Disney!

Stay away form Sea World. If your wallet is really that heavy, just send
any extra cash you may have up to me.
There is plenty to do down in San Diego. One of my favorite places is
Hillcrest. Very nice people, good resturaunts, and rainbow flags on every
store front. ____________________
