I got this by e-mail the other day, and I'm afraid it applies rather too
well for some of my "virtual" friends ;-) :
I heard about this neat new thing coming out that is even better than
Virtual Reality. It's called Real Life. The ad went something like this:
"The ball in your hand feels exactly like the real thing...
because it IS the real thing!
The wind in your face is so real feeling, you can smell the grass...
because you are REALLY outside!"
Personally, I don't think it will catch on.
(quote from bluejeans in alt.games.the-sims)
I downloaded once. While I had it, there was a virus going around called
"FLU". I'm not quite sure what the acronym stands for but the results
were
terrible. My central processor overheated, causing my memory to fry. My
system started making funny noises (*snif*), and it was not fun. By the
time I had my system cleaned up again, the trial period for real life
had
expired. Needless to say, I uninstalled the buggy thing. I don't
recommend
it, just from the system security angle.

I couldn't get tech support for the version that I was using so I
uninstalled it.

I tried out Real Life 2.0 and decided it was just too complicated for me to
use. I'm much happier with my original program. ____________________ "When choosing between two evils, I always like to try the one I've

Everytime I tried to boot the program my system crashed. I think it is
infected. ____________________ It's like kegel exercises for your throat.~Monolycus |

I'm dismayed that I've reached the edge of the map and can't go any
farther... And where are the moogles? This real life stinks.
Although it does have some good points... Specifically the network part. ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |

Ok, so you want to try some virtual reality, or am I missing the point?
Anyways if you wanna try cybertown.com its good, relieable, and use to be
free (those days ended Jan. 1st 2003). You can still come in as a visitor,
but membership cost 5 bucks a month.
(sorry didn't mean this to sound like an add) |

No, no... Real Life -does- have a reset button. Its just there are no
guarantees that your system will reboot. ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |
