I dunno - those nemesis aliens look an awful lot like the critters in the
Hellraiser movies. Look pretty goth to me - maybe they're combining the
storylines. Now THAT would be cool.

Star Trek Comes out before LOTR.. don't get me wrong, I'm counting down the
days there too. Plus, c'mmon, it's the last movie with the TNG cast!
and the aliens are romulans. they are pretty dark and evil fellows.
*grin*
I read all the spoilers so if you wanna know the storyline... heh. Ok,
maybe not.
You STILL havent seen two towers yet either, have you :p

No offense, but I saw the movie and most of it was good, but the ending
pissed me off. Why the fuck they gotta kill Data ? Brent Spinner was part
of the core of the TNG crew. I mean there were some parts that could have
been replaced with other actors and they wouldn't have been missed, but
Brent made Data and so many of the story lines ... Gebus, they might as
well have gone ahead and killed Picard too.... bad move if ya ask me.

They killed DATA???!!!
He was my favorite character when I was a kid! I had a crush on Data!
They can't kill Data!
I will probably never watch Nemesis. I don't even watch Star Trek anymore.
But I still protest. Data must live. I insist that the members of Star
Trek procure a time machine and go back in time and SAVE DATA!!!!!

Well Schizo, they could pull that time rift thingy again like they did in
the second (first?) movie. You know, that rift that sent picard back in
time and all. Then they could save Data.
But star trek... *yawn* Lord of the Rings is what life's all about!

Of course they could go back in time, but there are regulations! Star Fleet
strictly prohibits time travel, unless absolutely necesary. And the Nexus
time rift from the first movie only comes around very 70 or 80 years. They
could slingshot around the sun, or use gravimetric particles to shift the
ships time space position like the borg do, but like I said, regulations.
Data was, by far, one of the best characters in the star trek sagas, though
Picard and Kirk will always hold a place in my heart. I grew up on the Next
Generation, and dreamed of being in star fleet when I grew up. Alas, I
discovered we can't actually replicate Earl Grey, nor can we alter warp
field in order to boost tractor beam power. So a little part of me died. I
never understood what some people had against Star Trek. I know people who
hate it, and have never seen an episode. What up wit dat? Anyway, I'm
wasting time, so good luck, good travels, live long and prosper, The needs
of the many out way the needs of the few......
P.S. I assume a few of the posters on this thread are good little trekkies,
so can anyone tell me where my name, Squire of Gothos, comes from?

Saving Data DEFINITELY qualifies as "absolutely necessary", so stick that
down your gullet, Starfleet Command!

Yeah Lord of The Rings is cinematic fucking genius! Any flick that can keep
me in the same god damned chair for 3 hours, and keep me from getting bored
deserves merit. It was very sweet. I've yet to see nemesis, and doubt I
will. I love Trek like I love my mother, but Nemesis is supposed to blow
dogs for quarters. I'd rather keep the franchise from getting ruined by not
seeing Nemesis, forgetting Inserection, and watching my Star Trek II Wrath
of Khan DVD 40,000 times. That flick kicks major ass!

I was raised on Startrek The Next Generation, too, Squire. Except now I
couldn't care less about it... I don't know. Startrek just seems too cheesy
for me. People flying around in nice little grey spaceships wearing
color-coded jumpsuits... It just ain't for me.
Firefly and Starwars are pretty much the only science fiction I'll watch. I
think its because everything is grungy. Which is how I like it.
