I could blame it on how they have a majority of Democrats running the
poles, and how Democrats are notorious for voter fraud, but I won't.
And it was always OK for celebrities to run for any office that they want.
It is up to the voting public to make an inteligent decision on whether or
not the candidate is going to do a good job in office. ____________________

Hell yeah they are! Sonny Bono held office in palm springs and became a
senator, clint eastwood helf office in california too, and Jessy "the body"
ventura is governor of Minnesota! From what I've seen of the man's work,
he's one of the best mayor's yet, and he's FUN to listen to when he makes
speeches!

The only problem with Democrats and Republicans are that democrats make
scandals whilst republicans are thinking "What? Doesn't EVERYONE cheat on
their wife?"
I think it's all rather silly. I would consistently vote for whoever was
the BEST candidate...but sadly I found myself a few years ago drifting for
Ralph "waste your vote" nader, simply 'cuz HE had more balls than both of
them. And if you asked HIM if he smoked pot, he wouldnt' make up crap
about not inhaling...he'd probably pull his pipe out of his coat and say
"YEAH man I got this gnarly shit...wanna hit?"
I think I'm one of the few people who'll admit to having genuinely LIKED
bill clinton. He was a damned fine president, no matter which party he was
on. He got shit done, and hell, if fucking his intern helped him do his
job better, then bring them on! Make sure he doesn't run out! I think him
bonking an intern was a ridiculous thing to make such a big deal out of,
especially all those capitol hill hypocrites. I don't care who he's
fucking as long as he's doing his job. Just think of all the more he could
have done with his final years if he'd just been left alone till he was out
of office.
And I especially don't care about JR's alcoholic daughters. Hell, they're
TAME compared to some of the kids I see now...man. Well you know what they
say, apples don't fall far from the big coke sniffing drunk driving
alcoholic tree...
I think jessy ventura should be president. Nobody messes with a man who
can put tights on in all seriousness and whack the fuck out of people with

BUSH FOR A GOVERNOR: AND IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION ALL OF THE

and who benefits from it, and who should be punished for treason (or more
importantly who isn't going to be punished at all because of their
resulting position...???).
Didn't it all strike you as odd that during the Bush/Gore presidential
election after only 1% of the ballots were counted and the news networks
(like always for every other state) projected that Gore won the Floridian
vote... Mere minutes afterwards the Bush family was on national television
complaining that that projection was crude and incorrect. FOR EVERY OTHER
STATE IT WAS OK, BUT FLORIDA WITH TONS OF VITAL ELECTORAL COLLEGE POINTS
WAS QUESTIONED. Why you say? Well, because it was a Bush state! Yes that's
right, Jeb Bush (brother of G. Dubya’) was governor of Florida at the time,
and still is, and it is obvious that he was just ensuring that his big
brother got that vote for Florida regardless of the consequences.
But who is Jeb Bush? and what is he doing in Florida? He has never lived
nor is he a native in Florida; why is he so interested? Hmmmm.... lets
think about this one. Ok what does the bush family do best? YES! Correct!
Make money off of oil (in sometimes the most compassionless way possible).
But wait... they can't drill for oil in Florida: there are laws protecting
the ecosystem for the tourist industry, fishing industry, and preservation
of the depleting wet lands.... So that doesn't make sense.... WAIT!!!! Loop
hole time  !!! They can just set up off shore drilling rigs, And this is all
possible because there is no democracy in Florida, and the people in charge
have too much power! so they veto any laws in their way, invest in oil
companies, and proceed in fucking every citizen of Florida- FOR MONEY!
MONEY MONEY MONEY GREEN FILTHY MONEY; IT MAKES MY COCK HARD!
(Why in the hell do you Floridians keep voting him in if Jeb is such an
evil bastard? Well, WE CAN’T VOTE, THE ELECTIONS ARE NOW RIGGED EVERY TIME!
I haven’t met one person who voted or wanted to vote for Jeb, and he
somehow managed to get over 50% of the vote conveniently. Want a good
reason why? Well personal experience: When my mother used the touch screen
to make her vote, When she hit Jeb’s democratic opponent’s name, IT
SELECTED ‘BUSH’ AS MY MOTHERS CHOICE. She, as well as several other
infuriated people, took the electronic card back- and they simply put it
back in the ’unused card’ pile, and gave my mother a “new one”. That is
Bullshit. There is something wrong with that system, think about it: too
many flaws for something that should be precise. )
Back to the Bush/Gore election fiasco-
Now here is the edge, they play on the republican vote, and exploit the
Nader vote... then get this! They rig the election for president! now they
can make even more MONEY! How? by instantly lowering industry standards for
environmental protection (Now it is cheaper to produce oil and other
products with disregard for pollution), Starting a couple of wars with
random countries- THEN INVESTING IN WEAPONS AND MILITARISTIC COMPANIES!!!!
WOW!!!! SO THAT’S THEIR FUCKING AGENDA!!!
Again, too convenient with the whole Iraq issue. Why attack Iraq? Saddam
HATES Muslims. He is an atheist dictator: Dictators like power- So to fuck
with a super power like the USA that would jeopardize his power. SO WHY
WOULD HE GIVE NUKES TO A BUNCH OF MUSLIMS THAT ARE GOING TO FUCK WITH THE
US AND TAKE HIS POWER AWAY? He isn’t... He wouldn’t, that isn’t his style
(His style being controlling all of his countrymen and killing them as he
sees fit to ensure his power). Ok, so now lets add another factor in....
Why logically would Bush give a damn about Saddam? He he he he he, MONEY
AGAIN! Countries like china and Russia had an embargo against Saddam, That
is going to end as of next year, then Saddam will get the chance to trade
oil with these countries. But Bush wants his cut, so what does he do? Lets
put it all together now!- First he starts a war, then the weapons companies
start producing to aide the war effort- meanwhile the stock in the company
GROWS TO HUGE FUCKING SIZE BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT WITH TAX DOLLARS STARTS
PAYING THEM LOTS OF MONEY TO PRODUCE MILITARISTIC GOODS. After that, Bush
will execute Saddam (Which I could personally give a fuck weather he lives
or dies- that fat greasy fuck), and put someone in office that will allow
Bush and his oil buddies to start drilling and distributing oil. THUS
MAKING MORE MONEY! WOW! SO FUCKING PREDICTABLE! IT HURTS!
But one more thing... bush said in the past that he wanted to drill for oil
in the natural preserves of the United States, then why didn’t he just do
that instead of starting a war and cause the needless suffering of innocent
people and the death of American solders....? That isn’t very American or
Presidential of him....
Well that one was easy, #1 congress wasn’t going to let him, and besides,
he wasn’t going to make nearly as much money doing it that was anyway. But
you see, that was actually plan B. Back up money if you will. One of the
reasons why congress didn’t allow Bush and his energy buddies to drill in
the natural preserves is they weren’t building, or planning on building any
new oil refineries in the US. Do you know what that means? HE WOULD HAVE TO
SEND THAT EXCESS AND ABUNDANT OIL TO THE MIDDLE EAST TO BE REFINED. Why go
through all of that trouble? That doesn’t make sence.... Yes it does, that
extra trip across the ocean will keep the oil prices high, so it would not
compete with established middle eastern oil companies that bush has money
invested in. So he gets more fucking MONEY!! YAY!
So why are the elections always fucked up in Florida? three things.....
Bush, oil, and MONEY!!! whooo fucking hooo!
YOU CAN LOOK THIS SHIT UP IN THE BACK OF NEWS PAPERS AND ONLINE. THESE ARE
YOUR RIGHTS AS AN AMERICAN, YOUR IGNORANCE IS DANGEROUS AND PEOPLE WILL/ARE
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF IT. In Florida there is no democracy, and that can
easily happen to your state too. DO YOUR FUCKING HOME WORK. THIS S ONLY THE

Ok, first of, most politions in office is there for at least one of two
reasons;
1) to make money
2) to push their agenda
So the bush's want money. No shit, I want money too. So do the democrats,
ever wonder why they always do what the unions want. It's simple, the
unions pay them for it.
And again, I state that it was the Democrats that ran most of the Voting
booths. They were the ones handling the ballots. They were the ones that
brought in the lawyers. They were the ones that insisted that each one be
looked over with a magnifying glass, and if there was even one scratch over
Gore, then that surely was what they meant to vote for. They were the ones
that wanted the election to be declared for Gore before the absentee
ballots were all in.
Democrats are the ones that load up bus loads of minorities and go from
district to district to have them vote. And when the Pollsters say that
they can't because they don't have ID or Regristration, they claim racism
and are alloud to vote anyways. It's always the democrats that get 100% or
more in voter turn out.
They are the ones that go to the nursing homes and have the elderly fill
out the ballots or even fill them out for them.
And Democracy is a substitute for toilet paper. This is the United States
of America, and by it's constitution, we are governed by a Representational
Republic, being a democracy is never mentioned in the constition, and was a
form of government that was feared by the founding fathers. Republicans
uphold the constitution, Democrats normally try to change us into a
socialist form of government. Mind you, if you are a registered democrat,
I'm not necessarilly talking to you, but that is what most of the
democratic politicians want. They want a top down totalitarian government
where they control every aspect of your life. Did you know that a bill was
recently shot down that was introduced by democrats in California that
stated that if you didn't buy a specific type of coffee bean(I forget the
name for them) for your store, you would go to jail for 6 months. That's
right, jail time for buying coffee.
As for Jeb not living there before he was elected. How about the clintons?
Hillary sure as hell isn't a New York native. That didn't seem to stop
them from voting her into office though. Politicians go where they think
that they can get elected, then they run. ____________________

I simply don't know where the hissyfit falls into this. Most of what was
said is common knowledge...that bush is the "oil" president, that the
impending Iraq "war" over arms and terrorism is a farce for a rich man's
war, and of course the election was fucked in florida. It was a battle of
ridiculousness. Ballot boxes were "misplaced' and that whole
"hanging/dimpled chad" dilemma...sounded more like an awful STD than a
major political issue. People pissed and moaned and thew fits on both
sides of the issue.
Republicans have their good points, and democrats have theirs, but both
have a bad dark ugly side that is common in ALL politicians. Alone said it
best with the two key factors of politicians. To make money, and to push
their agenda or ideal. Big fat DUH entered here...of COURSE that's why
they're politicians! If politics paid poorly I wonder just how many would
still be so very vehemently behind their beliefs. I do get quit the kick
when I hear that they unanimously passed a "raise" bill for THEMSELVES.
Man I wish I could do that!
Historically Repubilcans have been very heavily on the side of non
governmental interferrance in the citizens lives...let us figure it out, we
can do it, we're big kids. Democrats tend to lean heavily on the side of
"protect us from ourselves..we need to be told what to do". I'm in the
middle...leave us the hell alone and step in and give a guiding hand when
needed.
I just dont' understand fighting politics for the sake of it. If they
can't agree on one thing, JUST ONE THING, no matter how small, how will
they ever be "qualified" to run a country?
In the grand scope of things, the world and it's affairs are out of our
hands. Why? Because the indiviual vote doesn't count for shit. It
depends on the state and how many "points" it pays out based on its
population. No matter how good of an armchair president you think you are. ____________________

your vote counts for less than that.
If the person that you select to go to the real election (remember that
from high school?) changes thier mind, and over 10% do change their mind
every election, then your gets changed to the other party. Without your say
or agreement or anything.
We dont vote for presidents, we vote for people to go vote president.
Our constitution was designed to protect the wealthy landholding men, not
the middle class, the poor, the young or the old. That most of you vote at
all is 'against the constitution'.
being president or senator wasnt supposed to be a full time job. It was
supposed to be a hobby for the wealthy.
It was written to protect a way of life that they led (land based wealth).
It was not written with the understanding of 'corporations', 'healthcare',
'education', or 'highways'. It was written as a trade agreement (a single
curancy, and the goods/metals to back that currency)and mutual protect
pledge (the militia for states and provisions for a standing army)between
large scale farmers and shippers. It was written to protect thier wealth
and standing so that they could protect the things and people that they saw
as important; thier peasants, thier families, thier trading partners, thier
religion.
When you realize that our constitution is there to protect the wealthy so
that they can protect us, it makes you really stop and wonder about why
they arent.

I don't pretend to understand politics. When I was younger, I was told who
to vote for, and I did it. It was practically a sin to vote Democrat. So
now, my mind seems programmed to immediately associate "Republican" with
"good" and "Democrat" with "bad". Followed, of course, with the
self-reminder that it is just my brain-washing talking. But, because of
that, I don't often trust myself to make sound political judgements, so I
don't vote anymore.
I THINK that I still lean somewhat Republican - as Bettie said, they seem
to stand for less government interference in the private life. And I do
hate being interfered with. But I'm not really into the whole
fundamentalist "family values" twist that seems to go along with it. I
guess I'm conservative in politics and liberal in my private life.
But anyway, my point I wanted to make was about the Florida elections. If
I remember correctly (and I was somewhat distracted at the time, having
just started up my relationship with my boyfriend), the whole thing with
dimpled etc. chads was the established law in dealing with them, which was
that the stupid things had to be punched out a certain amount, or they
didn't count. The voters were informed in some way or other of this, and
thus, if they didn't punch their chad properly, it was their own damn fault
that their vote wasn't counted. The rule was established to prevent all
this nebulous argument about what the voter "intended" to do.
And if I remember right, the Democrats were all about ignoring that rule
and counting every little dent. The Republicans were adamant that you
can't change the rules in the middle of the game.
Maybe more Floridians actually DID intend to vote for Gore. But they
should have followed the instructions more carefully, and examined their
chads more carefully, if they wanted their vote to count. The Republicans
were right, you CAN'T change the rules in the middle of the game. That
isn't democracy, it's anarchy.
As for the elections being rigged, I'm not saying they were and I'm not
saying they weren't. I don't know anything about it. I'm just not very
impressed with the Democrats' attempt to ditch the rules for their own
benefit.

No kidding. I never saw more panty pissing than I did in that election. I
was EMBARASSED for them!
When I first heard the term "dimpled/hanging chad" it sounded like a
friggin STD!
The main problem with the whole thing is that it was screwed from the get
go.
I think there was dirty poker on each side of the fence. A lot of the
people who had mismarked or improperly marked their ballots that NOTICED
were refused another voting sheet when they were required to attain another
one.
And how...HOW the fuck do you LOSE a goddamned ballot box?!
I think that the whole voting issue needed to be brought out...I think
there are better ways of doing it...closed circuit video ballots etc....but
the way it was dealt with and the time it was dealt with was absurd,
childish, and made fools of everyone that would have had a valid point if
they'd done it in an adult fashion.
I also find it more than a bit distasteful and QUITE "funny" that Georgie
was VOTED into the presidency by a judge in his brother's political home
state. I mean come on...
It just seems nowadays that you can't have an election or a political
decision without a "scandal"...one that usually has NOTHING to do with the
issue at hand.
I don't wanna know who they're fucking.
I don't care if they inhaled 20 years ago.
I don't care if they're a draft dodger.
I don't care who their daddy is.
I don't care what their kids do.
I don't care if they kiss their wife on TV or not.
CAN THEY RUN A GODDAMNED COUNTRY, KEEP US ECONOMICALLY VIABLE, AND KEEP OUR
COLLECTIVE ASSES OUT OF THE FIRE is what I want.
Can they do it and can they do it WELL.
The other shit is arbitrary...and I don't care.
It used to be rare and HUGE for a political "scandal" to come into
light...now it's common, it's not a presidency it's a soap opera for the
nation.
Hell we're even diggin up scandals from 200 years ago when the "disgrace"
fund is running low.

sorry for having an opinion. even thought the fact of the matter is that
the eldery (and the majority of the eldery in south florida are jewish)
completely fucked the ballots because it was ever so complicated... And on
the note of antisemite. I'M FUCKING JEWISH!!!!!! My god damned grandparents
couldn't figure it out either, and it appaled me. Its a dead simple voting

Generic Scholarships, and I hate Jews. I hate them Sooooooooooooo much that
I'm going to blow my brains out. Becuase that seems to the only thing to
make you happy. God forbid I was up late and wrote a stupid fucking
comment. And rather than find out what I meant, talk about it, or try and
find out more about me, you just say I'm a fuck up. Fine, you being the
expert have schooled me. Touche' good sir, touche'. What do I do now? Do I
have till sundown to get out of town? Open fucking minds, eh? I mad1e some
shitty comments in my first post here, but no one called me a fuck up. They
fucking discussed the merits of what I said, and pointed out my
inconsistencies. This of course is too hard for you. You cannot except that
