To tell you the truth I don't really understand the interest in piercings
in general.

For me, it's mostly the experience. Aesthetics are secondary. It's not
just the pain; it's a highly personal sense of accomplishment. It's like
cutting one's hair. According to Devin, a girl will always cut her hair
when a guy fucks with her, and he's right. It's the
I'm-doing-something-for-me principle. I think it's a way of reclaiming
autonomy--some people go shopping, others cut their hair, and still others
get a piercing (or dermal punch or implant or scar). And you can't forget
all that delicious negative attention.

andree, it definitely is not a regular bridge pricing. if you grab the top
of your nose underneath your eyebrow's (or in my case eyebrow) the bar bell
is going to go through that piece of bone.
Mikey's girl if you are going to pierce yourself until you're paralyzed,
start with the nerves that control your fucking hands plz. I'm sure you
like blood, don't you all? it's so...bloody...kewliez n shit oh wow.
shut the fuck up.

get 2 clips pieced into your wrists so that you dont need handcuffs, might
add to the pain, and cost less in the long run.

andree, 300 dollars for five holes? those are some expensive peircings. you
should find somewhere cheaper then you could have all the peircings that
you want and then some you dont want from a drunken dare and everything.
and dont anyone go off on one about how cheaper places are worse and youll
get gangrene from their fingers and youll die and then your soul will burn
and your friends will gt run over in a freak labret peircing accident...and
so forth, because ive heard it all before and its bullshit. my housemate
got an expensive peircing from a good place and its been infected ever
since, i got mine for a tenner including the stud and had one infection for
a while until i changed the metal of the ring.

Um, yeah...because piercings and tattoos are things that one should really
bargain shop for.
You may get lucky once or twice, but eventually you *will* get what you pay
for.

Well you have to keep in mind the type of piercings I'm paying for.
I'm not going to trust just anyone to do surface piercings--I've seen too
many shitty surface piercings that reject in two weeks because they were
done with straight or curved bars, or by inexperienced piercers who do them
too shallow. My nape cost me ninety-one dollars (I'm a good tipper), but
it was worth it, I think. It's been almost five months and it hasn't given
me any problems. This guy did my dermal punch, too.
Sure, you can shop around for standard piercings, but I'm gonna stick to
the experts when it comes to surface stuff. And yeah, I probably paid too
much for my snug piercing considering the piercer had never done one
before. Let's see, the rook cost forty bucks, the tragus was fifty, the
snug was sixty, the sadhu was a forty-five (thirty-dollar procedure plus
fifteen-buck glass slug), and the nape at eighty-four plus tax plus at
least thirty dollars in tips . . . yeah.
So I suppose I could've gotten some of them cheaper, but I'm not going to
let just anyone take a quarter-inch piece of cartilage out of my head:
"Hey, my name's Andree, and you are . . . ? Ah cool. Here's a hole-punch
and here are some rags. You'll prollly have to press real hard to get it
through, and I'm sorry if I bleed all over you. Oh wait, could you wash
your hands first? That'd be super."

I don't know how the hell you got away with doing that at school.
It's unsanitary.
It's unsafe.
It's unappealing.
You don't have a license to do it.
Yes, you've probably heard all this from above posts.
I'm sorry, but I think it was very stupid and juvenile. I don't know why
people do it themselves. Most of the time, it ends up getting infected and
sometimes resulting in having to have surrounding areas of the piercing
removed. For example, having half your tounge cut off. It's not cool and
it doesn't make you special, not unless you're going for the Special Ed
kind of special.

Some people have way to much free time and money on their hands. That's all
I'm going to say about it.

. No, the best way to go is to have a friend who has a piercing license,
and is really safe and good. I just got both my nipples pierced last
Friday, there is no infection, there are no crustys, they are perfectly
symmetrical and he did a WONDERFUL job. Oh, and they aren't bruising they
don't hurt and they just feel great. … and the grand total of this
experience. 30 dollars because he needed some gas and cigarettes.
