Have you ever dated someone that was not a goth?
How was it? Did you last?
The reason I am asking is that I am a full gothic and this guy he is a
prep. Well yesterday he came up to me and ask me out i told him i dont
know. Because i am totally different from him he likes rap i like rock i
get kicked out of malls and hes quite and im not so please
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :???: ____________________

I guess you have to get to know him a bit more. He may dress like a prep
but get to know his real interests and find out if they seem appealing to
you. I do understand what you mean about the ´him being a prep and you
being a goth´ thing, but some of my close friends are townies by appearance
yet really decent people.
My advice? Learn more about him as a person, not him as part of a group. ____________________

and for safety´s sake dont drink anything he hands you, dont go to a party
with his friends without a few of your friends along as well, and make sure
the first few dates are group dates. See if you know anyone that knows
someone that has already dated him and find out what that was like.
(standard high school grapevine)
But im serious about the group date thing. Dont be silly and leave yourself
open for a really bad time. He may even be a nice guy. And how long do you
rally need it to last? the school year? ____________________
Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires
away.

| I´m goth-ish, I fit a lot of the steriotypes but I´m not exactly "goth",
but I dated a boy you could probably call a prep once, and we went out for
around 5 months before our relationship died, but it was just because I had
issues with trusting him, and it was my longest relationship(not funny. I´m
bad at these things) anyway, the whole goth-prep thing doesn´t matter that
much once you get to know each other, and as long as you like him and you
two don´t scare each other too much, things should be fine. Just go with
your gut feeling. Get to know him better, and if you like him, go for it. ____________________

well.. umm.. going whith what was said about the group-date thing..
verry good idea you can get to know him and he can get to know you and
you can learn each others prefrenceses
my longest relationship is my current (about ummm 2 1/2 mths..) im bad with
guys too.. but thats ok cuz then, when the relationship dicinigrates i have
a friend.. and i dont have alot of thoes
if you turn off the lights would he know your goth (besides the probable
clinking of metal on metal and the sound of pvc)? and would you know he is
a prep for lack of?
also what is your defination of prep? is it someone who nbever gets in
trouble..? someone who follows the stream? what? cuz if a prep to you is
someone who is just icky.. well not all icky guys stay that way :)

Never had a problem in that department, to be honest.
People are people, if the guy is nice enough who cares if he´s goth or
not?
Thre was no "Thou shalt not mate with those of other bood" rule.

Had the unfortunate opportunity to date someone who claimed to be a goth,
but wasn´t truly. You begin to see problems when the person tries to tell
you "don´t dress so gothic" - and all you´re doing is wearing black. Sad
to say, I actually stayed around with that wench, and even looked at
marrying her! (Sheesh, what was I thinking) - but, thankfully that didn´t
work out - and I´m now free to be my typical self.
Dating someone who isn´t gothic, can work out, as long as that person has
an open mind - but, it helps to have someone who is like minded.
