I pants strangers, flash people, make faces at buses full of people, bounce
up and down, bunny hop, hug my stuffed animals, and read republican
"prayer" tracts. I dont like people to know about these, but I dont feel
bad about doing them. especially in the moment....

Surely guilt is a symptom of a sense of reality, specifically a sense of
religious morality. Sin as a product of religion is therefore, wherther
through the postumation of the actual existence of a deity or not, the
actual personal sunconscious interpretation of the will of the religious
power. This in itself simply highlights the integral moral opinions of the
individual in relation to his pre-religious identity. (Of course this
relates to the concept of the creation of religion as a socla construct.)
Guilt therefore is simply an acceptance of the flaws within the
individual's personal nature. The manifestation of their very morality, if
you will. To have no guilty pleasure is to say that we are essentially the
most inhuman of humans. That we are devoid of an identifiable
induviduality. We are peons of the society which molds us by political and
religious 'morals' into a sociological component. Guilt is to be accepted
and admitted, as its mere articulation shows we are the products of
ourselves and capable of independent thought.

Don't get me wrong abby, the ability to feel guilt when guilt is due is a
very human emotion, but guilty PLEASURES? The whole phrase "guilty
pleasure" is meant to make the indulger feel naughty, insubordinate, and
ooo so wicked in a harmless and ego "devil may care" pleasing way. The
phrase itself is stupid, the idea even more so. If someone wants to feel
devilish and wicked and throw sheets to the wind, they should do so, do
some harmless helling and be out with it, not hide behind silliness in the
pretense of "it feels so good to be so bad".
And pale face, I still beg to differ. Just as people pretend to be
regretless, doesn't it also come to reason that people pretend to regret
things? I've feigned regret in situations that warrented it, if nothing
more than to make or keep the peace so I wouldn't have to listen to
yammering. I do have regrets, but not many, one being the few times I was
too mean and the other being the fewer times I was too nice. I'm sure if I
dug I could come up with MORE, but then I'd be making regrets in my head
instead of continuing to take life as it comes good and ill and trudging on
regardless. ____________________

| Hell, I make mistakes all the time. But I'm not going to waste time
feeling guilty about them. Either I learn from them, or I don't care and
make them all over again. But what on earth is the point of feeling
guilty? To punish yourself? Please. If something's really a mistake, it
will punish you all by itself. Like stubbing your toe when you're not
watching where you're going. If you're going to have to manufacture a bad
feeling for something artificially, chances are it wasn't even that much of
a mistake to begin with. And even if it was, who cares? ____________________
