| So what kind of stuff would you like to see happen at this party? What kind
of stuff would you like to do? Be reasonable here, folks, we'd like to know
what kind of party the Shmengians want to have. (It will be in New Orleans,
that has been decided...) We have a year to set this up, opinions right now

| Well for the most part its a great oppertunity for people to meet other
people..... a Lot of us haven't met the other half of us and I know I
haven't met anyone! I just want to meet everyone have fun party, chit chat,
drink, play music and wonder the cemetaries of New Orleans! ____________________

graveyard tour...call me wierd...but I want to! I toured the ones in
Boston and took pictures! I just cannot wait to meet everyone! I am

fact, I believe the only one who could give me a challenge on drunkeness,
would be bettie. About the only difference between the two of us that I can
see, is our choice of diets... And I have absolutely no talent when it

| Well what's new to do in New Orleans since the 1980's? My sister has lived
there most of most life, so growing up I spent about two weeks there a year
at least usually, and I lived there for awhile too. My sister lives in
Gretna (suburb of New Orleans) currently, and she lives across the street
from a cemetery of some sort, but most of the cemeteries there are really
cool looking so I wouldn't mind going on a cemetery tour too. Most of the
time I spent in the New Orleans area was drunk and well stoned (it was the
eighties after all), so I sort of remember the world's fair and the french
quarter from a drunken hazy point of view. ____________________

Hooray! Arthegarn's coming!
I DEFINITELY want to go to a goth club. If they have them around here, I
don't know where, so I've never been! I know it's probaby old hat and
boring to everyone else, but it's something I've just GOT to experience
once! And it will give me a good excuse to splurge on a really nice party
dress!
Sounds like I'm going to have to work on my alcohol consumption during this
year if I'm ever going to keep up with the Shmenglians! I get sick after 4
Twisted Teas and I'm so ashamed of myself! I blame it on Riley - being
pregnant really took the alcohol tolerance out of my system, and it's hard
work getting it back.
A graveyard tour sounds great, too. I bet there's some really cool ones in
such a historic city as New Orleans! ____________________

Dude!,, Squid, thats great!(just read through previous posts)
Me and a couple of my friends (Turbo, namely a Rainbow Veteran) are
headed out to Rainbow in Mid-June after Konniption (the gaming convention
in Columbia Mo.(where I live btw))
I say we all just go and meet up at Rainbow... Go to Welcomehome.org
If it will be in New Orleans Next year I can definately make it.. I'll be
19 then and probably have a job... (my 18th birthday is in 5 days..)
and as for hotels just give me a tent out in the woods... :>,,  ____________________

Why do i have a bad feeling that by the end of this we're going to be one

Alot of people have good stories that take place at a lake with friends and
boats and noodle salad just not anyone here

| HA! We might just end up being so. I have this big problem now though. I
just told my friend Jackie that she could come with me, but I may not be
able to do all of the things that I want to do if she comes along...*clears
throat* umm some "FUN" things. She is a drinker, yes, but the "FUN" things
I want to do with certain people(nameless here..you know who you are), I
may not be able to do. Can anyone help me with this? My mom already told
me that she would buy me round trip tickets to New Orleans as my senior
present. That is so nice! My dad doesn't want me to go to New Orleans by
myself, but I will be 18 and I am trying to convince him that wherever I go
there will always be trouble. Priests, doctors, family members have raped,
molested, and hurt people, and they are supposed to be the ones we can
trust. I hope this doesn't make him want to shelter me more. *YIKES* I
told him also that he will always be worried about me and my safety, no
matter how old I am, or where I am. But about the friend thing, that is
what I really need help with. Can anyone reccomend something for me to do
or say? ____________________

| MRD, have CGB go meet your Dad and say that she'll go with you and room
with you and make sure you won't get into trouble or hurt. Then tell your
friend that you forgot that you were supposed to be rooming with CGB and
Kelpunkoi, and splitting room costs, and that there won't be enough room

months ago, and that I have tried numerous times. He has not met her, but
he knows I have talked to her on the phone. That is a good idea to tell
her that though because she and CGB don't like eachother at all. ____________________
