The Draft, over all, would be useless. Besides, why would Bush have the
right to speak of a Draft that he dodged during the Vietnam War, hmm? Sure
he claimed this and that, but as I've stressed many times before, the
current Presidental nominee's are crooks. I'll be honest with you...I
personally do not know or think Bush realizes how much harm he's done to
himself. Something about him tells me that he thinks he's not in the
wrong, even with the boo'boo's he committed. Not that we should sympathise
with it, but it worries me sometimes...especially if the guy doesn't know
it.
All in all, Donald Rumsfeld needs to walk out. Bush should have listened
to Colin Powell instead of Rumsfeld - we'd not be in as much of a mess if
he did. Whether one is pro-war or anti-war, anyone could understand the
need for strategy. This war did not have as much of that. We lost less
troops than we expected, but we also have over 10,000 that're injured.
Makes me wonder if they are better off dead or not...though I am not in the
military, I know of many who are and I worry about them.
*sigh* Sorry GOP, I am too inclined to turning you down for this term.
Whoever of you screwed up the Republican primaries (frankly all the
Republicans I talked to did not vote for Bush) ruined it for the rest of
the party. On the way out, please get Donald Rumsfeld a herbal enema for
all of that pint-up angst.

What kind of 'herbs' would be in that enema, Anya?
Yeah... there's a lot of shit building up behind the dam and sooner or
later it'll break...

The draft, despite milliatary experts saying it would be a terrible idea,
is a reality. After all the whole god damned war was a pretty bad idea in
the first place. And since Siria, North Korea, and John Doe agressor are
next on the list, why WOULDN'T we need more troops? And judging by this
link, both our candidates support the draft, previous treaties with Canada
are preventative measures to hold back draft dodging, and realistically, 28
million is already being used to lubricate the movement of this bill
through congress.
I heard milliatary experts saying that the draft wouldn't work becuase it
would be costly to arm and feed the massive influx of new troops. HELLO! AS
IF THIS WAR HASN"T BEEN AN EXERCISE IN OVERSEA FUND-WASTING! Billions are
already pissed out thanks to the ever so well thought out tax breaks of our
commander-isa-thief, and directed to this endless "long hard slog" as
Rumsfeld himself said. And between the nuking of youth meranda rights
reading, the patriot act, and offshoring, the president and his corporate
puppeteers have put us in an Orwelian hell, where martial law is legal, the
people are brainwashed into liking it, and our jobs barely scrape together
enough dough to live. Thanks a fucking lot. Reganomics and Nixon era shit
is looking inviting...... ____________________ “The only thing that can alter the good writer is death.”

The article you submitted was emotional and opinionated, yet gave no
indication that is was an editorial and it was littered with errors.
HOWEVER it offered this...
www.newamericancentury.org
This is disturbing and disgusting. People need to pay attention what
implications this group might have for the future of our country. It sounds
like we could be in for long haul of violent wars until our country is
obliterated with everyone here right along with. The goals of the
organization called "The Project of the New American Century" look
identical to the Third Reich. They want to dominate and spread 'democracy'
and American imperialism the world over. I found a sort of mission
statement on the front page.
"The Project for the New American Century is a non-profit educational
organization dedicated to a few fundamental propositions: that American
leadership is good both for America and for the world; that such leadership
requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral
principle; and that too few political leaders today are making the case for
global leadership."
You will be well aquainted with the names of the creators of this
organization. I really hope this is just a big joke. |

I found that website by accident one day and forwarded it to everyone I
fucking knew because I WANTED it to be a joke, I wanted it to be
funny.....
And then I heard the presidential address on the state of the nation after
the terrorist attack and our beginning seige on Iraq and he began listing
off the new "axis of evil" and I about threw up.
This administration (and the ones before it building up to this, no matter
their intentions) has built a dangerous stack of kindling to spark a big
fat bonfire.
- the government funded and approved "outsourcing" equalling economic
terrorism on it's own civilians. To quote michael moore (sorry, I don't
like everything he says/does but he's a smart fucking guy) "when a company
terminates a comunity's livelihood, and the government allows it, it equals
economic terrorism. These people will die as surely as those killed in NY
and the Pentagon, only slower deaths from drug abuse, depression,
alcoholism, domestic violence, and suicide."
-a deadly game of king of the mountain and "if you're not with us you're
against us"
-an attempted tighter stranglehold on natural resources and the peoples who
live amidst them. This war wasn't about "oil" but you can't convince me it
wasn't a large part of it.
I don't even have theories on how to fix it anymore. I used to think that
tho it wasn't simple, it was possible. I don't think that anymore. ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

I hate this shit. It seems like there's nothing anyone can do to stop it.
The people have no control or rights under this government. Every month it
gets worse and worse and i keep hearing "it can only get worse". Well, WHEN
THE HELL DOES IT GET BETTER!?!?!?! I'm so sick of this and as a truely
unimformed American, i just want to swweep it under the rug and forget
about, just let it go, but unfortunately i haven't had a full tank of gas
in months. Every time I turn on the news i hear about more terrorism. It's
not fair that the government uses fear to exploit Americans. When 9/11
happened the government called to rally US against those who would
challenge our freedom, and many of us fell for it and followed blindly.
Others protested, but nothing swayed the decision to go to war. Soon
enough, if this draft gets started, many of us will be off to war (or
running to Canada or whereever)
So what do we do? I mean those of us who want change. What exactly are we
supposed to do? Voting doesn't mean a thing, 'cause both candidates are
possibly the worse choices to lead our country. Protesting doesn't do
anything but get a little media attention, you might be on TV. Whining,
especially, doesn't do anything either. The only answer is to be as far
away from ground Zero as possible. |
