Yes, I would have written different questions for the test myself but hell,
it doesn't really mean anything.
I especially have some problems with some of the categories: Forexample,
how do yoo not score at least 90% on Unitarian? "New Age" what the fuck is
that? I think "Neo-Pagan" is WAY to broad of a category to list as one
whole.

Paganism I always thought was just anything that's non-Abrahamic.
As for the Unitarians, think of their meet as a bunch of necromancer
wannabes trying to summon Marduk, Buddhists meditating, Bible thumpers
preaching, and a bunch of other people all cluttered into one circle.
They're basically another broad group from what I understand.

I got Unitarian Universalism (whatever happened to 'agnostic'?), with Roman
Catholic coming last. Like Squid, I was raised catholic... 12 years of
catholic school, with four being in an all-boys school.
Guess that's what happens... heh.

No, Paganism is a broad term for "primitive" generally European
polytheistic religions such as the ancient Greek religion, the Norse
relgion, Celtic religion, etc. Anthropologists generally assume there are
3 levels of religious development, (1)the tribal religions, (2)the
Pagan-type religions, and (3)Monotheistic relgions (many Anthropologists
would also argue that Modern Science is the 4th phase of this evolution).
Thus one could classify Shinto as a form of Paganism even though it is not
European (it is generally NOT considered Pagan).
NEO-Paganism is a very broad term indicating the traditions started in the
20th Century which generally "mix and match" many aspects of classical
Pagan pantheons (such as the many forms of The Goddess) and generally along
with a profound respect for nature.
(Sorry Wiccans, I know yoo hate to hear this but Wicca didn't exsist before
Gerald Gardner. It doesn't mean Wicca is any less valid of a religion,
don't take it personally)
Unitarians are not simply a mix of all the other relgions by any means.
Unitarians belive that there is some kind of god (a word most Unitarian
"churches" hate to use) but it is up to the individual to discover what
that god is, how it manifests, and how to live by it. Unitarians also
belive that everyone will experience this diety differently and therefor it
is important to respect their beliefs no matter how much they may differ
from yor own. ____________________

I know the Unitarians are not a mix of all religions, just was stating the
versatility philosophy - maybe exhaggarated a bit in my expression. I
personally believe that Deity comes in many forms so I was not surprised
with the high rating. What really surprised me on the quiz was the
Mahayana Buddhism being a hundred percent since I believe that there was a
God force before the Universe. I'm not an expert in Hinduism, but that one
did not surprise me either due to my pantheistic view on the One.

I found it a bit weird that it didnt offer shinto, or any of the faith
groups like shinto, or any of the actaully polytheistic, non-Dualistic
fatihs in its religions. But hey, it is a Dualistic faith site, so why
would it bother with the faith groups of the other 2-4 billion people in
the world. ____________________ Real goths wear silver and crosses to keep the werewolves and vampires

I never thought of Neo-Paganism being considered a dualistic faith along
with some others in there. Good point though - it's missing out on other
faiths and/or beliefs. |

I think because Shinto isn't really practiced anywhere outside Japan and
this is very obviously an American Xian website. Not to mention the fact
that most Shintos are also practicing Buddhists and hold onto their
Shintoism because of tradition, national pride, and the fact that it's
really really cool.
They do offer Hinduism (once again a rather broad category) which is the
world's largest polytheistic set of religions rather than Zoroastarianism
which is unless I'm msitaken (and I might be with this one) the 5th largest
religion on Earth (although 90% of it's followers are in India so it might
not appear for the same reason Shinto doesn't appear).
