I hated the power rangers, I couldn't STAND it. I think I was still young
enough to be "into it" (I think I had some friends that were) but I thought
it was the stupidest thing EVER. And yes, it's still going, it went from
power rangers, then they did something and they were NEW power rangers,
then there was a NEW NEW kind of power rangers, with dumber costumes and
stupider plot lines *sigh* I can't even begin to imagine the evolved form
of the show today.
Oh, and on scooby doo in the theater, I have to say that they got shaggy
down PERFECT, but Daphne wasn't enough of a redhead, her outfit was cheap
and ridiculous looking (come on, PINK viny go go boots and a one piece ugly
lavendar dress? She wore a purple miniskirt and purple pointy shoes
*pish*) Thelma wasn't dorky enough and HER outfit was ridiculous and cheap
looking..it made me sad.
Oh and anyone remember that "babies" phase that cartoons went through? You
had muppets, then muppet BABIES, scooby doo, then a PUP named scooby doo
with all the characters as little kids, Loony Toons, then TINY toons...on
and on. I hated that.
I also happened to be at my grandmas and watching the Devil MTV when
michael jackson's hair caught on fire. That was so awesome.

Don't have any addresses to give you, but a google image search for Amy Jo
Johnson should show you more than you got to see on the show. ____________________ Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.

Not that I know of... Be nice if they did...
OH MAN! I just thought of something! A theater devoted to old cartoons,
with each screen showing a different cartoon! 24/7! Man, that'd be
badass... And I'm sure it'd be tax deductible, what with the cultural
value...
'Course, there wouldn't be no damn scooby doo in my theater, sorry... I
hate that show. ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |

Don't be embarassed, MRD, I remember Billy too. He rocked. The other guys
were just stuck up creeps. That red dude (jason?) with his muscles and zack
with his dance moves... Billy was normal.
But that show's -still- going?!?!
Oh, and chilly willy! I had a glass with him on it... Still have the shards
of it, too, after I broke it... Chilly Willy rocked. ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |

I remember watching He-Man and She-Rah when I was a little girl. My dad
would watch it with my sister and I. I also remember "Chilly-Willy Penguin
all frozen through and through, my nose is hot, my feet are cold, ah ee
kerchoo! " I remember the original Power Rangers too. I didn't think the
show would last after the first group of them, but look at them today,
corny as ever. I liked the nerdy guy Billy on the show. Sad how I still
remember his name. ____________________ "People always say what we are looking for is a meaning for life…I don't

HeMan sort of makes me think there was a 5th unknown member to the village
people....you have the Indian, the Leatherman, the Cop, the Construction
Worker...they must have left out the ambiguously homoerotic beast man from
another dimension because then they'd have to officially come out of the
closet en masse.
So they sent him, his fur speedo, and useless cross chest straps back to
beast man land where he wasn't seen again until 1985's "master of the
universe" uncovered his whereabouts. There should be a VH1's "Behind the
music" about that coming up shortly... ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Those were the days weren't they? There was good animation, the storylines
held to the comic, oh, it hurts to remember, considering that new x-men
show out..... ____________________ The perfect mind is like a mirror. It grasps nothing. It expects

He-Man, Beastman, Skeletor...
Almost all the names were simply descriptions of the characters.
Strong guy just sounds stupid, which is why they always joked about it in
X-Factor. Speaking of Mutants, remember back when the X-Men were normal... ____________________ Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.

His politically correct name would be Non-gender-specific-Person, duh...
But I remember making fun of Conan... My brother and I would watch episodes
in the morning just to laugh at him in his skimpy little animal skin.

Of course, as a child, He-Man wasn't sexist, he was damn cool! But I do
see your point. I wonder what his politically correct name would be?

Perhaps it was an intentional double affirmation of his manliness. He or
Man wouldn't have cut the buff, so to erase all doubt in the more inquiring
minds they were like "HE-MAN is ULTRA manly!" ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Wow, Frogger, Muppets, MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE! I feel much better now,
being here with all my cynical gaudy old codgers . I swear, at one
point in my life, I had all of the He-Man cartoons on tape. And what the
