My favourite: Red Dawn.
With Patric Swayze -orwhatshisname - as the all american freedomfighter up
in the mountains after the commies have invaded USA. "Go Wolverines"

You know there is actually a teevee program on some channel or another, I
think cable access called "so bad itīs good theater" where they play
nothing but awful old scifi and horror films...the best of the worst itīs
fucking RAD.
Itīs all about ed wood. Gotta give props to a man that can appreciate
cashmere sweaters... ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

They made a -movie- Attack of the Killer Tomatoes? I never knew... I only
watched the tv show during Saturday mornings...
*sings* Ataaack of the killer tomatooes!
Recently I saw the Lathe of Heaven. Its based on a sci-fi book about
psychics. I suppose people like it. But the movie was only made in about 2
weeks, with 250 grand for a budget. And it was made before ILM-style
effects were popular. But it was the only thing on tv.... ____________________ Piggy's got the Conch! |

Oh yes indeed it was plan b from outerspace!
Iīd suggest killer clowns from outer space
Santa clause versus the martians
the head that wouldnīt die
House by the cemetary
Horror hotel
Carnival of souls
REEFER MADNESS!
The funniest thing about reefer madness is that they are SO SERIOUS! This
was meant as a drug education/warning film on the dangers of marijuanna
smoking and was pre WWI.
Michael pointed something out to me as well.
"Hey honey, take a good look at the menīs faces."
"Why?"
"Well, this was made pre WWI"
"So?"
"Well get a good look, because most if not all of the men in this film will
be dead in less than three years."
It was SURREAL. Just to know not dead of old age, but dead of a war that
hadnīt even HAPPENED yet.
Thatīs what I get for marrying a history maniac *snicker* the little
tidbits of info that makes me see old movies just a tad bit more
interesting... ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

IronBoots, the only thing I remember from that tv show was some of the
theme song and a scene where the mad scientists was flying around in a
helicopter, shooting tomatoes at people.
You want to see where that maddness originated from? Rent that movie.
The head that wouldnīt die...for some reason that reminds me of a old 50īs
movie where a guy was chopping at a giant, floating, evil brain.

The only way to watch B-Movies is watching MST3k (Mystery Science Theater
3000). I have never seen so many b movies in my life...and they make it
humorous. ____________________ "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue. I'm a schizophrenic, and so am I". |

I saw "the head that wouldnīt die" on an episode of MST3K then rented the
real movie...
This guy is a medical scientist specialising in transplanting bodyparts,
and has a "monster" locked in a cottage in the country.
He drives his fiance out there to see his work and they are in a horrid car
accident, and the only way to keep her alive is to cut off her head and
keep it alive in a pan (hence the MST3K nickname "jan in the pan") with
tubes everywhere. She becomes resentful and mentally releases the monster
(I guess getting your head cut off releases psychic powers) and orders him
to kill her fiance, the assistant, and burn down the lab allowing her to
die.
Itīs CLASSIC.
Carnival of souls is sort of like a 1940īs "sixth sense" only WIERDER and
more surreal.
Iīm all about MST3K and B movies. I canīt live without them. ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Ive been watching Demolition Man. Its actually a good, intelligent movie.
Rent it, youll like it.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 kicked ass. I loved how they tore into those
god awful movies...the best are the ones in which the movie takes itself
too seriously. ____________________
