Alright, as long as you only watched it a little, and still profess great
faith for the only island of good television left, the Simpsons.
As for my own viewing of Survivor, lets not say anything you canīt take
back. *narrows eyes*

Mallrats arenīt job security! They never have any money! Seriously, and
Iīm not just generalising here...job security my butt, I have to watch the
little fuckers like a hawk instead of being able to do the REAL part of my
job. They hang around, block isles and distract my team.
I donīt mind the kids coming in...itīs when they DONīT LEAVE. Or come in
five or six times in a day. Or load up the dressing room for over a half
an hour and leave everything in a big tangled mess and buy friggin shoe
laces after my associates or myself have run like a goddamned crazy chicken
getting shit for them! Mallrats flip attitude, and swear loudly because
they seem to think that when in my store itīs OKAY, regardless of the
children and more reserved customers there. They treat it like a club, not
like a place of business, and my employees like either kicking posts or
their new best friend, not like they have a job to do.
CUSTOMERS are job security, and there is a difference between potential
customers (kids that will get jobs and shop) and mallrats.
When youīve been in retail long enough, you can tell.
Ahem.
Thatīs my take on MALLS. Perhaps I should find a new line of work? Nah, I
kind of like being old and bitter...and itīs relatively easy work for the
pay.
Donīt get me wrong, some of these kids are good kids, who are at the mall
because they have nowhere better/safer to be...but I"m not a babysitter.
Hell I think with a case of vodka I could conquer the world too *urp* ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

I only watched Surviver once! Am I condemned to a eternity of Hell?
*some shouts of "yes"...*
Bettie, now you know why I do not work in stores, I would have killed a
customer rather quickly from five minutes of the mallrat antic. I admire
you, my anger would have bested me.
I guess thatīs why I bust my back for $10 a hour. Itīs hard but it is ok
pay/good hours. ____________________ but at least you know, just how much pain there is in living |

Really the only difficult part of retail are the difficult customers..I
give ALL of them 110% of my effort to get them what they want, and the few
genuinely happy customers sort of make it worth it.
Itīs like an odd teetertotter...I LOATHE people and contact with people,
especially strangers, but Iīm GOOD at it, REALLY good at it. Then you have
the repeat customers that are just flat out fun...thereīs this one old guy
with a balding ponytail that always calls me "the soulless sheila" or the
wierdo beach bum because of the seahorse and starfishes tattoo that covers
the top half of my right arm...and the "starman" who is this mid/late age
wierd old man with his bellybutton pierced upside down and talks about
spanking parties and modifying fetish clothes...he gives me tips on making
my nails pretty.
*sigh* I love it and hate it, and it pays my bills and fun stuff, and Iīm
management so thereīs enough resposibility to keep my power hungry side
satisfied and I only have to take orders from one person above me, so all
in all itīs not a bad gig.
Anyhoo....on with the original forum...what was it again?
Silly kids or history? Malljobs versus REAL *snicker* work? Black versus
BLACK black?
World domination in the name of those of easy swooning and daydreaming
persuasion?
If I rule, Iīm making the whole world one big bat sanctuary....devinīs
house excluded, heīs had enough bat excitement to deal with than most of us
will ever in our lives ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Well, I go to the mall a lot my self, and I do consider myself a mallrat.
I talk to the people that work in the stores, spend long times looking at
stuff that I probably wonīt buy, and on occasion do swear quite loudly. Of
course I rarely come away from the mall with out spending $50 on DVDīs and
food, the people I talk to are my friends, and normally stop what they are
doing and come over to me to talk, and well, I just tend to swear where
ever I am.
Fuck
see, there it goes again... ____________________ Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.

Sorry, I thought mall rats -were- customers. But I donīt know much. The
last time I went to the mall was last christmas, I think. Before that, itīd
been probably two years. I donīt go to the mall that often.
With reguards to Survivor, its very sad how they could have ruined such a
good concept (Established by great books like Lord of the Flies, The Most
Dangerous Game, etc). Those books ruled! But nooo! They had to ruin it!
Thatīs reason enough to begin the New Vodka Order.

"Mallrats" - hmmmm... I suspect weīve got them here, in Europe, but then
again I never go to malls, so maybe I just donīt know... But it seems
rather stupid, hanging round the mall and all.
I mean, if I was bored, Iīd go to a museum or art gallery (although they
might not let me in ;-), not hang around in the mall...
But thereīs been talk of īposeursī (how the hell do you write that?!)... I
donīt like to use it, īcause everybody is entitled to his/her own life (as
long as it donīt hurt me) but I suspect that these īmallratsī fit this word
exactly...
Oi! Betty! Move to Europe, letīs get a six packīoīvodka, bounce to a Cure
show and then rule the world... ____________________

he he...I just wanna go to europe and call someone a farkin wanker for
shits and giggles
Mallrats arenīt customers...if they hang around the mall, but BUY shit even
ONCE in a while, theyīre regulars or even regular customers.
But I refuse to be a free babysitter, if I wanted to raise kids Iīd have my
own, and if itīs not busy or hectic or packed I do talk to the
"mallrats"...but then they get clingy and tend to come and follow you
around when youīre trying to assist 8 million people at once *grr*
Donīt get me wrong, I feel bad for the kids and all, the ones that are
there so they are out of an awful home for PART of the day...but cīmon
man.
One of our daily mallrats moved to texas...saw a picture of him recently
and he shaved his head, lost some weight, and joined some neo nazi shit.
Yay. Movin on up in the world. Woo.
I hope he picks on the wrong minority and gets his ass shot.
Mallrat update! One got a JOB!! and now, tho he spends less time at the
mall, itīs still quite a lot, but he BUYS SHIT! Mallrat no more!!! Now
when he and his pack of friends come in heīs addressed by name and his
friends are greeted with "HEY, mallRATS!!"
They hate it.

Mallrats arenīt good eatinī. Most of īem stink. As for the other ones,
that wouldnīt be very vegan of me ;P
Plus, can you imagine the preparation involved? Cutting off the multiple
layers of "foliage" aka: fishnet, chain, lycra, bungeecords, microfiber,
rubber, plastic and straps...then stripping of the main course, chiseling
off all that makeup and hairspray and occasionally, B.O.
Then you have to make excuses as to why exactly you were the last person
seen with them...that can get messy, especially if you have a big black
decoy van with slipknot stickers all over it.
Man, now THATīS hard to explain... ____________________ Trapped in time. Surrounded by evil. Low on gas. |

Critters reminded me of those ball type things, theyīre constructed of
individual strands of rubberbands....they are bouncy, have arms, legs and
heads. Fuzzy they are...
Except those bouncy, fuzzy rubberband things didnīt have two rows of razor
sharp teeth.
Ack, I probably lost you by now.
Well, if you really want to see a awful movie that has nothing to do with
this conversation, except that itīs a old 80īs movie, rent The Toxic
Avenger...or Crusader, I canīt remember the name.
Trust me, if youīve seen it, youīll know how terrible a movie with a $1,000
budget is. ____________________

You got it right the first time, Alone. And there was a Toxic Avenger II
and III (possibly more) as well. They were put out by Troma... a better
Troma vehicle, in my opinion, was Surf Nazis Must Die. Anyway, the whole
Troma phenomenon was about putting out bad movies on purpose. I donīt
know, for my tastes, unintentionally bad movies are a lot more enjoyable.

Iīve mentioned this one before in another forum, but if you can find a copy
of it, watch the out-of-print "Forbidden Zone" by the Elfman brothers. It
is painfully bad... youīll love it!

Iīm looking up info on the Forbidden Zone....
"Shot in black and white, this live-action cartoon movie follows the
mischievous Frenchy Hercules (daughter of the Hercules family and played by
Richard Elfmanīs wife, Marie-Pascale) into the basement of her cardboard
house, where she finds a gateway into the sixth dimension, where women run
naked, strange creatures sing wacky old songs all day and you donīt need to
take your pants off to have sex."
Jesus, this must be awful. I have to see it!
Again I suggest these movies if you can find them.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Critters *1,2,3, I donīt know how many more they have*
Toxic Avenger, THE definition of bad movie making.
Any subdubbed or dubbed Chinese action movie from the 60īs.
Iīm too tired to think of names right now... ____________________
