If no one's opinions count because they weren't actually there to witness
it, then why ask for anyone's opinions?
So your blatant sterotyping (why does it matter what the person threatening
you looks like?),your chip on your shoulder, and your inability to accept
anyone else's input unless it lines up exactly with what you wanted to
hear, was actually a deliberate ploy to show us up for being big bullies
who pick on people for no reason?
Seems to me you only proved that we generally have fairly good reasons when
we "pick on" people.
You liked us pretty well when we agreed with you.

You know I've figured on combining those two sweet ambrosiac delicacies on
many an occasion...
But the fucking taquitos glared at me and took my job.

Personally I found this entire topic surprising. Am I living under a rock,
or did dressing like a freak suddenly become socially acceptable and
utterly devoid of any kind of social flack? Last time I looked, people
still fear what they don't understand - going out in public with
multi-coloured hair is a perfectly good reason for them to stare and sneer
at you. You must be new at this if you haven't figured out yet that there
are plenty of backward tits out there who like to make people who look
"different" feel uncomfortable. So of course you're going to get some
creepy looks if you take your kids out in public. Believe me, I'm not
defending these yahoos, I'm just wondering why you feel this is an issue?
You claim to understand that freaks get treated poorly, yet you are
"concerned" about your kids getting scared. Um... hello...
You know, if I had a dime for every time in the last 18 years I was giggled
at, followed, hit on, insulted from across the street, threatened, and had
soda cans (among other things) tossed at me, I'd be a rich woman. People
aren't quite as bad now as they were then, but you've got to be pretty
naive to think that no one's going to do anything if you happen to "look
funny". If you're worried about your kids getting scared, maybe re-think
the wardrobe. Or, use it as a means to teach them that people can be cruel
and unfair to those who walk to the beat of a different drummer, and teach
them how to be strong and defend themselves from small-minded people. I
know more than a few moms who had to reconsider their appearance for the
sake of their kids, and it didn't kill them to change. They gladly made
the sacrifice. But I also know a few who stuck to their look, and did a
lot of work to teach their kids about prejudice.

As far as i can tell, the protagonist of this post hasn't actually had a
run in with this evil "red-neck" race, so why botehr posting? I've had
bottles thrust in my face by both neds (which im guessing are are
equivalents of rednecks) and "goths", but i don't think either experience
had much to do with what i looked like or how many minors i had with me...
The kind of trouble ou get into when you're out and about depends solely on
where you are, what you look like and most importantlywhat you do. i've
been out many times looking like "a freak" and spent a very happy time with
guys who may well have beat 7 shades of shite out of me had they met me
under other circumstances. It sounds like your predujices are blinding you
too the fact that these guys are actually people too... hell, maybe they
had some small kids in the back of their pick-up screaming hell for high
water cus they'd seen some scary lady with pink hair scowling at them...
There's at least two sides to every story, it seems like you've missed at
least one of them...

Personally when I dress like a "freak" I am in fact expecting, nay WANTING
an unfiendly reaction by various types around me...this is of course to sow
conflict, from which I have a chance to crack skulls and indulge in one of
my more favored vices. I dress the way I want to, but the way I want to
dress also has direct repurcussions on my engagements with other people and
their overall attitudes.
For example, strapping a gun to your chest means you plan on shooting
someone, to not shoot someone defeats its purpose, and to become upset or
even surprised when someone acts appropriately by believing you plan on
shooting someone is foolish. In the end...my opinion on the matter is.
Why the FUCK did you let them get away with giving you dirty looks!? You
should have stabbed one guy in the eye with a fork and hit the other over
the head with a bottle of Aunt Fucking Jemima...
then again...this is just me talking.
The horse is dead
It has been beaten
And I have had sex with it!
