I have found a great deal of trouble trying to find myself a group of
ordinary people to just sit down and have a conversation with. my peers are
just far to juvenile, that or the a.d.d runs rapid in my town. I also cant
speak with my elders, because I’m not of enough intelligence to converse
with them. I find myself in a dilemma. stuck in what seems to be a gap of
intelligence through the years. a 'maturity limbo'.
This all came to my attention tonight when I was in a heated discussion
about the free trade agreement. being one of the few people who is poor in
a rich town sitting down and talking to them revealed their stupidity.
their unknowing bliss toward the rest of the world who doesn’t have money
was incredible. the only thing that struck me as to being more ignorant
that that was their lack of caring toward the less fortunate.
the only thing that has been able to bridge this gap other than my rants to
myself late at night has been talking to the masses gathered at shmeng.
realizing all of this makes my terribly unhappy to think that I will be
doomed to wallow in my own personal anti-social limbo until I find people
who can converse about the same things as I.
I posted to see if anyone out there had any situations similar to myself
and if there is anything you can do other than just waiting it out. Thank
you for reading, and please excuse my lack of ability to convey my thoughts
clearly. ____________________

| every school has clique's no matter what you say. i have 3500 kids in my
school and there are still clique's. it's not to say that one controls
others, but they are still there. ____________________

I think my high school was too big for the clique system to really work.
You made friends with whomever, partied with whomever, and it wasn't like
you were a social pariah if you weren't cool with one particular group. No
one knew everyone, and no one was so well known that they and their friends
decided what was in or out.
The first high school I went to, however, was small, compared to the one I
graduated from, and they were ruled by cliques. The in crowd, the
wannabe-in crowd, the want-to-be-anything-but-in crowd, the geeks, the
nerds, the skanks, the white trash (there were only two blacks kids in the
entire school), the goth/metal heads, the slackers, etc. ____________________
Today's liberals are tomorrow's conservatives. When my generation is the
conservatives, we'll be fine letting gays get married and creationism vs.
evolution in schools will be a laughable issue.
But by god we'll be sticking it to the damn cyborgs!

moinlen - it is for this reason that i wish i had gone to school in america
sometimes.
the clique system. its immmense fun for someone like me to imagine. where
iwent to school there were groups, but there was mixing, there was
bitchiness but there was...oh no wait, in that case there was just
bitchiness... but anyway, i love this idea of a well defined set of social
groups. it would have got me beaten up a huge amount, but i can deal with
exclusion. obviously i may be wrong because i never had to deal with it to
a great extent, but if i could have my mind now, back then, in america...oh
the fun i could have.
anyway, to the real reason for my post: red queen, how exactly do you
accidentally type that. its not as if the passion of the moment in front of
a computer screen get too much for you and you cant help yourself. if you
were worried that that would happen (and if you were worried this implies
that you knew that it would be unwelcome) then surely your guard should
have been up.
now i shall sit back and wait for the barbeque to heat up anyone like any
specific sauces..... mmm salsa. ____________________

I went a party aa little ago, for a friends sisters 18th.. I went there
chuckling and drove away laughing. The different groups of people
co-ordinating their little groups after a time, then moving in their groups
to different areas. The HOMIES, the POP TARTS, the METAL freaks......it
was hularious, everyone had their booze again different for the different
groups. I was so bored by the experience I went inside and caught up with
the old folks inside. ____________________

other, I'm not sure that the membership at large finds your online spooning
equally endearing. If you feel the desperate need to indulge in that silly
banter that goes on between people in love, perhaps you should take pity on
the populace in general, and not use a public forum like a private chat

school before university, graduting at about 18. 9th grade, or Freshman
year, is generally considered to be the worst year of school in America
