I thought this could be a good way for people to find out about new /
obscure / good bands and great songs. Just post which song(s) by which
artist(s) you're listening to currently. Hopefully it should lead to the
discovery of some new music for people reading.
Now Playing:
Lesbian Vampyres From Outer Space by The Scary Bitches
Ave Maria by The Cruxshadows
Lets Lynch the Landlord by The Dead Kennedys

Industrial, techno type stuff. It depends on which album you're listening
to, I suppose. I like all their stuff, personally.
http://www.deathboy.co.uk/ There's a link for your
viewing pleasure. You can download mp3's off their site.
Right now I'm listening to Sondre Lerche - Things You Call Fate. Shuffle. I
can't help it.
Last night it was the Faint and Mindless Self Indulgence. Two of my
favorites.
Mm... Pantera - Drag the Waters. Pantera will always be close to my heart. ____________________

never heard of DeathBoy, what kind of band is it?
today its:
Phillip Glass - music from the movie "The Hours" which was based on a book
which was based on a different book... or something. Awesome Piano music
though, absolutely beautiful.
Steven Cravis - has a little website on which he puts flash games that he makes. They
all (or at least some of them....) include music that he wrote. One song in
particular that i love is called "Through The Kaleidescope" and i have the
sheet music for it ^.^ so to play it on piano.

DeathBoy - The Doctor
I've been listening to a lot of different music recently, but it always
ends up going back to A Perfect Circle and DeathBoy. Oh, I so love
DeathBoy. *swoon* ____________________

^.^ yay for Cake, i must have something by them somewhere...
Exodus - Blacklist (nice guitar solo in this one)
from the Alone In The Dark OST .. i don't actually know if its just a
various metal artists collection or if its a movie, i just have it because
there are good songs on it.
Dimmu Borgir
COF
Dark Tranquility
Soilwork
Machine Head
Arch Enemy
Death Angel
Lacuna Coil
etc etc etc
Another good OST i have been listening to lately is the music from Donnie
Darko (movie), it has the original version of Mad World as well as the
movie version. And also the Witch Hunter Robin OST (anime series)
other good bands of late, Katatonia, Behemoth, Alice Cooper, Apocaplyptica,
ACDC, Boney M, Dream Theatre, Neo Tokyo, Grand Theft Poutry, My Dying
Bride...
and then there is the Sonic Underground cartoon ^.^ |

Indeed.
At the moment I am listening to Dredg - Triangle.
Although, I'm craving Danzig, I think. ____________________

Well, at the current moment I'm not listening to anything obscure or
underground. Just the Fashion Nugget album by Cake. It's good shit, yo.

fun site! i like the entry page.
I like Dresden Dolls - they are on RoadRunner Records. Another RoadRunner band i really like
is Murderdolls, a side project of some people from slipknot. i just got
"Beyond the Valley of the Murderdolls" which i've been wanting for a while
but it is never in stock that i have seen until the other day. They are a
fun band with sort of a metal background by they have a lot of more
shock/glam/punkish influences, i could compare them to Robin Black and the
IRS but with a more Slayer or COF feel as far as singing goes.
Murderdolls:
Love at first fright
Dawn of the Dead
Twist my sister

The Horrorpops are so fun. I love them. And Kim Nekroman from the
Nekromantix plays guitar. It is like his side project. If you go to their
website you can check out their videos they are really cute.

Dresden Dolls you say? I also love the Dresden Dolls. Anyhow, My list of
music at this time is varied. I like different genres right now. For the
past couple of years I have really gotten into Psychobilly a whole lot.
Anyhow here goes.
Dresden Dolls- Girl Anachronism
Nekromantix-Beelzebub, nekrofelia, reincarnated love
Rasputina- Hunter's kiss, Ginger bread Coffin
Tiger Army-Outlaw heart, Incorporeal, Devil girl
Cramps- what's inside a girl, muleskinner
Horrorpops-Miss take,walk like a zombie,sob
Kraftwerk-radioactivity
Siouxsie's version-Strange Fruit
Mad Sin- paranoid brains
Pole cats-grave digger rock
my moods change. I like goth, punk, industrial, darkwave, new wave, and i
love psychobilly and also just about everything by the squirrel nut
zippers.

The latest Dead can Dance tribute album, The Lotus Eaters. It's
...surprising. Bands that i thought would screw the songs up have done
wonderful jobs, The Gathering and Anathema being some of them, and bands
that should have done a wonderful job failed miserably *cough*Black tape
for a blue girl*cough*. overall, the songs are heavier than the original
versions, but still sound beautiful. A very good album ____________________

dresden dolls! i must say, one of my favorite bands... alongside with AFI.
I have eclectic tastes. They would be classified as Brechtain cabaret
punk.... dresden dolls, not AFI. AKA awesome lol.

Wow, so this band Smoosh, yesterday? At Chop Suey just past Broadway in
Seattle . . . They're two girls, ten and twelve years old. And Aqueduct
was rather enjoyable. So was Mates of State. It was also fun to find a
bunch of gay porn flyers in the dumpster out back. I'm pretty sure those
are going to be plastered all over an unsuspecting roommate's car. ____________________ < / hate > |

Nenia C'alladhan - Anna-Varney Cantodea's side project. Think Sopor
Aeternus gone folk
The Dresden Dolls - if somebody explains me what type of music they're
doing, i'd be grateful. I do sense some cabaret influences, though, and it
makes me think of Tori Amos gone psycho.
Nefilim - the almost-metal stuff the guy from FotN's doing

ya they have been around for a while. i heard of a band that was similar to
them in having instrumentals version of songs. but instead of remaking
metallica's work they re made tool. i thought they were decent. it was a
good idea. ____________________ fucking classy. |
