I was in DC yesterday and one of the guys I work with was like. "Fuck, I
have to go grocery shopping tonight, and it's not even because of the
storm, i just don't have any food. I could care less about it, but now I'm
going to look like one of those people..."

Reminds me also of back when we first went into afganistan.
But first, a little backstory. The gas stations in the area normally get
refilled around the same time of the month. Well, a few days before, it
isn't all that suprising to find that there is no regular. Well, two days
before they refilled their tanks, we went to war, and two days before that,
they ran out of regular.
Now, enter me, driving home from work, noticing that I'm rather close to
being on E.
I pull into the station, and proceed to wait in what has to have been the
largest line of retards in the earth. The best part, was that the lack of
regular sent them into an absolute frenzy. I mean, C'mon people, we don't
even get oil from Afganistan, and I know we are out of regular, I didn't
need every asshole to stop and tell me in their scared panicked voice that
they were out.

Oh christ, we're hit by nor-eastern's yearly. It's nothing new at all.
Blizzards, droughts, flooding etc, the North knows how it can be.
Not related to the hurricane, my head’s going to fucking explode, I’m so
fucking tired. Isabel hurry up and give the East Coast a enema already.

There were reporters on TV standing near the hurricane scene. I think
that's kind of moronic, especially if people already knew the hurricane was
coming.

We have people taking advantage of the high winds to go surfing and
para-sailing on lake Ontario.
They didn't close down highschool today... I woke early in anticipation of
it being cancelled... damn you Isabel... DAMN YOU!!!

Hmpf, hurricane, you know in Korea they know how to do a storm.
We had ourselves a great big ole typhoon here last week. And you know what,
there wasn't a single damned news report that the thing was coming and no
constant "typhoon" alerts and updates. Nope, we just walked out our door
one Saturday to, "hmmm it doesn't usually rain two feet in twenty minutes,
and, hey, dogs don't fly" then we knew something was going on. The next day
the streets were full of mud, the rivers had all flooded, 80 people had
died, and thousdands where homeless with billions in damage, and you know
what, by the third day the news had moved on.
Now that's coverage.
