In Georgia, They are thinking of segregating the classrooms or the schools,
so that Boys and Girls are separated, instead of being together.
What do you think about it? Do you think that Boys and Girls should be
separated in the school system? ____________________ [[Ive learned too many things to let life pass me by now. Ive grown up and

What's the point?
I mean, single-sex schools are one thing, but are you saying they're going
to divide the children in normal schools into girls / boys?
Why do they want to do that? ____________________ Do not fear death so much, but rather the inadequate life. |

Eh. I don't really go either way on it. The school system I work for has an
experimental classroom where the students are segregated by gender.
Supposedly it takes away pressure, they don't feel like they have to put on
a show for the opposite sex, etc.
Some kids bitch about it a bit when they get placed there, most don't care,
as they are only there for two hours a couple days a week. ____________________ Okay, dazzle me. |

I think the point is, like MW said; to take the pressure off of showing off
for the opposite sex, In the newspaper article, they said it would help
girls feel like they don't have to be dumb around the boys.

Hmm, that might actually work out okay, so long as they don't end up
treating the groups differently. They'd come together for lunch, I take it?
Best of both worlds then; they can still socialise like they would before,
but in lessons they'd have fewer distractions. I imagine it would help with
the boys showing off to impress the girls as well as girls not feeling like
they can stand out in class.

I really don't think it matters much, as long as they are getting the right
kind of education. |

Yeah, I think in traditional school settings, they would get to mingle at
lunch. The school in which I work usually schedules the kiddos to come in
twice a week, two hours a day, so we actually don't have scheduled lunch
breaks. It's all in the same room (different days), same supplies, same
curriculum, all that jazz. ____________________ Okay, dazzle me. |
