Iīm afraid I can see both the benefits and the dangers of premarital sex.
If you have premarital sex then you have a chance to find out before legal
commitment how much you like someone, plus the fun of playing around, plus
gaining experience so when you DO find that one person, you know how to
give them a good time.

wait, thereīs something really special about it, something youīve shared
and explored with only one person. And plus youīve got the legal
reinforcements that makes it harder for some loser to burn you. You have
legal leverage, and besides, losers donīt like to tie themselves down like
that a lot of the time. Unfortunately, not always, but you have a better
chance of picking someone trustworthy if theyīre willing to tie themselves
to you forever īn ever.

at once - I didnīt wait for the marriage ceremony (although apparently it
was on the way), but I went into it as completely commited as if the ring
were on my finger and the documents signed. I thought my partner was
equally committed. It turned out not true. If he had been, it would have
worked fine. But he wasnīt strong enough to hold on when things got
tough.

<BR>I guess my conclusion is that you
have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself. Donīt let anyone say to you
"this is the only way to go" if thatīs not what YOU really believe. Of
course, there are risks both ways. Thatīs life. You canīt live without
facing danger; thereīs no way to avoid it. After all, more people die in

Negative song) and itīs fine with me. Whatīs funny I wouldnīt agree with it

I am certianly not "objectifying" anyones partner. How else would I put
it? Since that is exactly what I want ot know, how often do you get any
whether you have a partner or not. I am not one to disrespect anyone.
<BR>Another thign that does make me think twice about having more
than one partner are diseases. I practice safe sex, but there are
accidents, and sometimes people arenīt honest with that sort of thing. On
my college campus, 1 in three people have genital warts, and the other odds
are just as scarey to me, jumping out of a plane might be a risk I would be
willing to take, but getting an STD is not worth the risk to me. I am not
saying it is wrong, if there were no such thing as STDīs, I would say free
love for all, but I am just really paraniod. I went through my little slut
phase and didnīt get pregnant and didnīt get any STDīs, but I had freidns
who werenīt so lucky.

Lol.. The two reasons I donīt sleep with just anyone I find interesting
are stds and serial killers.. really puts a damper on casual sex!

and stopped to think "OK, he doesnīt have any weird diseases, and he is a

Iknow this is about a month after this forum kinda ended but, i have to say
i couldnīt handle not being monogamous. Donīt get me wrong, it sounds like
a lot of you have great open relationships that work well and i do not have
a problem with that at all. But I have found the one iīve waited for and
thatīs it for me i suppose. <IMG SRC="images/smilies/icon_smile.gif">
(Plus Iīm paranoid and insecure and Iīd spend the whole time asking if i
was better or whatever and thatīd be the end of it <IMG
SRC="images/smilies/icon_razz.gif">) Weīre very open about what we like
etc..etc which i couldnīt live without. I think Iīd die if by boyfriend
wasnīt the kinky type.

Iīm incredibly open to the open-relationship ideal (note spelling), I think
one of my many kinks happens to be monogamy. I feel that the natural state
of existance for human kind is asort of free floating sexuality and when i
was young and single my only hard and fast rules were was it cute? was it
alive? I didnīt bother to ask about gender until the clothes came off and I
definately couldnīt be bothered to say no if someone else got all hot and
bothered byt he show and edcided to join the fun. But these days Iīm hapily
married and while I donīt think marriages in general have to go hand in
hand with monogamy, mine does. Before the piece of paper I was the same
when it came to relationships. I just love too deeply to share (Read Iīm a

| I understand the jealous bastard thing, somehow, I always manage to bring
out the worst of it in whoever I date. I think it is endearing...to a
point, then it just gets annoying, I mean, there comes a time when it goes
beyond simple caring to having an almost father daughter role. It has
happened in every relationship I have ever had, and normally thats when it
all goes to shit. I am a very independant person, and I have to have my
freedom or will go insane (literally) and I just canīt find guys who
understand that or share that view. Normally, i get the ones who are
co9ntent with having one friend (me) one person to talk to (me) one person
to share every single second of their lives with (me) and I get suffocated.
In more than one relationship I have had to say "look, I care about you,
and that is why I am breaking up with you until you go out and get a life,
get some friends, and then come back." I just donīt want to be the only
reason fo0r someone to live. I know that maybe I should, but I donīt want
that responsibility for anyone else. ____________________

ok iīm a leetle confused...scorpioīs are monogomus?( i canīt spell) Iīm an
Aquarius, that probably explains the confusion. But yeah on this monogamy
thing, its cool if you can handle being smothered, and i love being
smothered. But i can understand where you are coming from with the father
daughter thing. Some guys are simply a little to enthusiastic. But youīre a
babe - I mean its only natural they want to keep you all to themselves!!

| I believe in what ever happens, well it happens, if I meet a cute girl, and
we hit it off, then get it off, well, all the better. However, if I meet a
girl, and things get serious, well, I pretty much go monogomous. The only
real problems in my love life would be that every insane girl in the
tri-state area wants me, which wouldnīt be so bad, if they werenīt insane.
And Iīm not talking about borderline sanity problems, Iīm talking like
first date talking about our wedding then calling at 2:30 in the morning
when I have to get up the next day for work crazy, then threatening suicide
to keep from me from breaking up with them, then calling the next day,
thinking I was joking when I was breaking up with them, then calling the
next week asking if I want to go back out... ____________________
Sometimes I dream about dinosaurs shopping for cargo shorts at the Gap.
Does that make me a bad person?

Speaking of "arrangements" all the ppl Iīve known that have had open
relationships have been for the benefit of the guy. The women in those
relationships have all had esteem issues, fear being alone, or many
failed/abusive boyfriends. Iīm not saying thatīs true in all cases, just
what Iīve noticed. If having several sexual partners makes you happy then
great, super, you go boy/girl. Me on the other hand would never consider
looking elsewhere. Bettie (laurie) had freinds in highschool that had
arrangements which for them meant the guy could screw around while the girl
was at home taking care of the kid. Doesnīt seem fair to me. Plus it opened
the door for him to prey on all her friends. So, my thoughts on the all
thing is a quote for George Michael "Sex is best when itīs one on one" Oh
gawd now Iīll have that song stuck in my head.
