Cold Comfort Farm
This great move is based on a great book. The book is a wonderful bit of satire and the movie is even funnier.
Our heroine, finding herself suddenly an orphan, goes to live with her rural relatives. "There's always been Starkadders at Cold Comfort Farm". She soon learns that her Uncle did her late father a "wrong".
She brings the 20th century to this small community by talking openly about birth control, the talkies, and Ford (tm) vans.
She faces unwashed windows, peeping toms, and "something nasty in the woodshed" with aplomb and vigor and in the end, is victorious.
And one of the cows is named Feckless. Added: Monday, November 24, 2003 Reviewer: callei Score: Hits: 927
