Articles: Who is God? |

Who is the all-mighty one we call 'God'? What's the point of our parents trying to bring this into our lives? Don't they get that we could care less? What is 'he'? I don't think he exists. When I was little, I tried readin this "Bible" and I was like "Not worth it". No-one understands my veiws on this. I'm not really complaining i don't guess. All I have to say is Manson is my 'God' now.

Note: Part of the reason this site is here (besides laughing at the clueless) is to try and make sure we have a semi-clueful next generation - so stuff like this IS going to get posted - please don't flame them, just click on comments and politely educate. Thanks, -Devin- |

The Christain version of God and Manson are not your only 2 choices. If you're not ready for eastern religions, maybe you should look into Wicca a little. Then you could start figuring out the vibe and still feel like you're rebelling.

Hey. Just a couple of comments. For what they're worth.
There are a lot of books I tried as a kid that I just didn't get. The Bible's a bit heavy for kids. It might be worth trying again, if you feel like it. Though it sounds more like you don't feel like it. Which is your own decision.
Another thing. God isn't something that any one person can "give" to anyone else. Even parents to children. A lot of parents need to realize that. Many parents permanently damage their children's ability to look at God objectively by trying to force something on their children that should only be displayed and offered.
Oh, one more thing. You say Marilyn Manson is your "God". What do you mean by that? Just that you look up to him a lot? Because he doesn't even know that you exist, and can't do anything for you, even if you do enjoy and relate to his music.
Yes, I am a Christian, and my relationship with God is the deepest, most beautiful thing in my life. Because I derive so much joy and satisfaction from this part of my life, I like to spread it, but I don't ever like to force it on anyone who doesn't want to hear about it. And I welcome any challenges to my faith. They don't anger me or frighten me at all. I'm always willing to learn from a new viewpoint, even if I don't agree with everything.
