See that WOULD be true, and I would like it to be, but 90% of the time people don't swerve or slow down at ALL. I remember when i was a kid there was a momma duck crossing with her babies across the road, it was a big traffic opening too, they had plenty of time, and this red car came along donig about 80, and actually SPED UP when he saw the ducks in the road.
No joke. People drop their pets here because there are lots of woods lining the highway, and it's convenient. The road is dangerous because people DON"T do the speed limit, don't pay attention, and drive like assholes with no regard for anyone or anything. I"ve been sitting waiting to take a left into my driveway, had my signal on, and been IN THE TURNING part of my maneuver, and had some asshole bombing up behind me doing 90 pass me on the left and barely miss making creamed peas out of me. And not even slow down. If there's anything "karmic" about hwy 410, it's the ROAD'S bad karma making everyone into assholes....like route 666 or something, I swear.
