Those are some of the reasons I will never have a pet if I can avoid it. I'm not up to the problems or the responsabilities and I have a... let's sat dispasionately cold view on the subject of animal rights Yet I agree some things just should not be done, if you are not up to the compromise, don't accept it. When you get rid of a pet like that you are not just failing the pet (if you believe in such things). You are failing yourself, that's NOT what you said you would do.
*Sigh* And yet I chose my present apartment thinking about Fridaluna's cat, and believe me, there is no lost love between us. Just a sort of mutual understanding, as long as it cat stays out of my way I'll stay out of its.
