Here's an interesting approach: If you are going to be pissed off because people jump into a conversation they have found in a public forum, maybe you could have your conversations in private. If you're going to fling in a public place, you're not going to get a lot of sympathy when the flinging goes two ways.
Also (and I wish someone would explain this to Dennis Miller), just because you can frame a comment in a snide tone doesn't make it clever or insightful. This second-tier, uberidiot nonsense might make you sleep better at night, but it doesn't hold any water in the reality that happens outside of your cranium. If you want to pretend that there are legitimate reasons to feel superior to everyone and everything that is your own affair, but acting like the world is flat doesn't make it so. At the end of the day, you are still a zoon like the rest of us (and that includes most of your diet as well), with all the limitations that implies. Funny you should trash the religion posts with the others since that is really the only way for human beings to come close to justifying that they can stomp all over the rights of other living things. Ah well, as has been shown, it doesn't have to make sense for someone to assert it loudly and obnoxiously.

I don't hate meat eaters. I never have. My family eats meat. My husband's family eats meat. I have several friends that eat meat. I dislike the fact that they do, but it's their life and their choice to make an educated decision. It doesn't make me love them less, it doesn't make me fear them, it doesn't affect my opinion of them.
Unlike you, I can look at the whole person, and not a dislikeable portion of them only to dwell on it like an OCD crackpot and make their undesirable parts their whole.
