I'm not sure that cheese on pizza and hamburgers count for milk these days, since a lot of it is just made from vegetable oil...
But I'm pretty sure that the FDA is -trying- to get us to eat well... I think that they know that if they recommended anything so far from the normal as vegetarianism, that they'd be blatantly ignored.
People don't like change.
And I'm not quite sure whether 'processed' foods are good or not... For all we know, they might...
You carry on about aluminum, and its consequences, but what about zinc? Its poisonous as well, but we need it in small quantities to survive. I'm not sure if it is as dangerous as you might think.
Of course, I might be wrong.
Oh, and about the milk: I'm waiting for someone at the FDA to put human milk up on the food pyramid... some day... ;)
