Grammer brush up arent fights, its what friends are for (and this coming from someone wtih an entire typo page to her credit!)
'Treasured because of the selfless giving it represents, not because of its carnal implications.' right?
where is the subject? where is the verb that the subject acts on? Where is the object of that verb?
the implied part of the sentance is "it is to be..." with "it' being the subject and 'is' being the verb that the subject acts on. It could also be "it must be..." with must making the start of the verb clause. 'It" can stand in for 'The undressed body of a beautiful woman' for easy of reading for sure, altho i like the phrase myself.
if you had put a coma or a semi colon it would have been one complete sentance (sorta), but as it stands, it is a fragment.
"treasured" is a trasative verb, requiring an object and there is no direct object in this sentance. the object is in the proceding sentance. (i treasured it)
and as 'tresured' here is not being used as "i treasure' but rather as ' i must treasure' or ' i am to treasure' it is not really the verb either.
Is this clear? I am trying to use examples to make it more so, but im not an English teacher and it has been years since I took the classes so I forget the words for the types of verb clauses and such. I hope this helps.
