I agree, the threefold law pretty much has the same meaning as Kapu for me as well. I try not to do anything to piss anyone or anything off too much, unless they are employees at my work. Then it doesn't matter, because thier Karma is gonna come kick thier asses anyway. (By the way, they suck, so I just put on a happy face, and deal with it)
Devin, I heard something abotu the lava rock thing, and I am glad that I read this, it's VERY informative. Since I am a strong believer in the whole good-vibe theory, this makes perfect sense to me! AND, I also have a cool new vocab wird to confuse the people at school with! Hooray for Shmeng (did I just say hooray for doodie? )

Actually, I don't agree. The threefold law is more akin to karma itself. It says nothing about what is good and bad - just that if you do bad things, bad things will happen.
Kapu says "if you do this specific bad thing, the threefold law will not be kind to you". (If you want to think of it that way). Kapu doesn't do anything to you itself - it's just the warning label.
A poison sticker, or a high voltage sign aren't going to do anything bad to you. (Ignoring them is just a really really bad idea).
